I was very careful not to say a heavier weight, could be a lighter weight for all you hot people.

My eldest niece asked what I wanted for a present and without thinking I said I'd like Nadiya Hussain's latest cookbook. Then I looked at the dresser where I keep my current stock of cookery books and... where am I going to put the next one?

This is this is taken about five minutes walk to the west of my last picture, and is the called the Whales Moo (Whale's Mouth, for those wanting a translation from Scots)

A bit further west of the last picture, just before the next village of Portknockie, you get to the next rock formation called Bow Fiddle Rock

I liked the name "Whales Moo" but "Bow Fiddle" is even more realistic. Although I might have called that rock "Swan Dips Head".

My latest find near Cambridge, a county with probably the most old triangle signs as the council appear sympathetic to them. I have a few of these but none have triangles except one which has a corner missing, I now have a complete example.

This is Callands House west of Peebles. Went there in August for the first time. It was where my father was born in 1906 (He moved in 1908 to Morayshire).

Going east form Cullen the first building you come to after leaving Moray is Findlater Castle, a ruin now, as some of the walls fell into the sea over 200 years ago.

This is close up of an interesting example of European inter-war memorial art. This example can be found in the central square of the Italian city (town) of Scala, the oldest community along the Amalfi Coast around an hour and a half drive to the south west of the city of Naples.

What an attractive looking example of the ship-builders art...

I found this vessel, moored around half a mile off the coast near the town of Amalfi, quite intriguing. This is the 'Wind Surf' a five masted staysail schooner and the largest of its type currently in service anywhere in the world. She was built in France during the late 1980s and embarked her maiden voyage in 1990. The 'Wind Surf' is currently registered in Nassau in the Bahamas and is operated by Windstar Cruises. The vessel displaces just under fifteen thousand tons, is 614 feet in length and 262 feet in height.

Should you ever find yourself with a couple of hours of free time on holiday on the Amalfi Coast, you simply must visit the Pasticceria Sal de Riso on the seafront in the small town of Minori which is renowned across Italy and whose reputation for producing the finest cakes and pastries spreads across the world.

At the top is just a tiny selection of a vast range of the cakes that they produce freshly on a daily basis. Around the shop floor there are photographs of some of those who have patronised the shop over the decades which includes royalty, heads of state and all manner of famous figures from across the globe; this business even provides desserts to the Vatican and has been a favourite of a number of Popes over the years.

The image underneath is the selection that we made for our lunchtime treat last Tuesday. Mine, at the front is a Ricotta cheese and pear cheesecake and my partner Sharon's is a limoncello flavoured cheesecake... We both thought we'd died and gone to a cakey heaven!
