Terry:
I think on the player-authored quizzes the "you have already played this quiz" line really needs to be a brighter red. it is over on the side and--at least to me--almost unnoticeable. Aside from that, everything else looking good so far.

Is it the same skin you recently started using in the Ask FunTrivia section? http://www.funtrivia.com/ask.cfmAnswered my own question by trying to play a quiz. It is the same. http://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/General/Our-Schedule-for-the-Future-344912.htmlSeems fine to me. Definitely clean looking and I can see where it would be more mobile friendly. Only thing I worry about is sometimes efforts to make a site look "clean" can end up making it look generic. Would hate to see FunTrivia lose it's quirky personality that has drawn in a lot of us players.

The site is so massive and complicated from 20 years of development that I don't have time to de-quirk the site even if I wanted I'm pretty much pouring what we've already got into a brand new, clean 2017 container. I will do a little reorganization, particularly on the sprawling homepage, to try to simplify everything and make the site more accessible to new players.

And thanks for not asking for specifics. It's one of those things that is hard to put into words, but you know it when you see it.

I'm not sure if everyone has the quiz screen changes yet, but the profile screen looks similar in style. Everything is getting updated to look more streamlined and modern. I personally like the changes.
Edit: Having said that, the profile name and image looks a little wonky on mobile.

I really, really, no REALLY don't like the change to my profile. I'm a "blue" girl by nature, as a color choice, not a mood, but that's a lot of very sterile blue, with "gray" around my avatar, so that my name is barely legible. Black was my chosen color, and now I'm just gray around the edges -- not a good look for anyone, real or imagined.
I play on a laptop. Update and streamline like the wind, but might you please leave our profiles alone? It's the only place I actually have a few choices, and now my choices are mostly gone. No way am I staying "gray around the edges!"
I've checked out a few other profiles, and they all look wonky to me, too, with colors only around their avatars, and not accurate colors. I loved my black as my chosen background color!
Please, I am begging you, "Don't Mess With The Dress!"

The new set out looks a bit retro. I don't like retro. But, if it enables mobile users to access games, etc., I can handle it. Everyone should be able to access the site, on any device. If it means that we have to go retro, then I can handle it Far from using the retro aspect again, but I'm playing the Nemesis game against someone. When I looked at my opponents profile page I needed a pair of sunglasses. It's bloody orange and yellow! Are they colours they always used, or is it because of the changes? If it isn't anything to do with the new changes, I think someone needs to talk to them about hues, or tinting

Next time I see an ad I will post the URL here. Please change the profile pages back! I admit I barely glanced at mine but I do not like it! I agree. Really took me by surprise. Aside from the colors, I'm not too keen on being forced to use pull-down menus. I have opted to turn them off in my settings, and so I would be really grateful if this feature could be preserved. Also, I have a question. I do like the idea of making the site more accessible to mobile users, but why make web users use a mobile site?

Also, I have a question. I do like the idea of making the site more accessible to mobile users, but why make web users use a mobile site? This is not the intent. The intent is to have a site that scales for both. I’m also under the impression that profile colour options will continue to exist, but we need to get the scheme down first. We obviously don’t want to lose the look and feel of FunTrivia, but I’m always a fan of us progressing to a newer, more modern look.

. A link-related matter I noticed... from my profile page, if I click the "Quiz" drop-down menu and click a category, it'll send me to the correct top-level page for that category, but once I'm there, the header will change from my username (and "Logout") to the "Free! Register New Player - Log In" text. Good catch, it is linking to the non GM version. Will fix today.

Just noticed on Match quizzes the answer choices need to be stretched just a tad to fully fill in the rectangles in both sections of the Match quiz. By stretched I mean the light blue surrounding the answers does not fill the box completely. http://www.funtrivia.com/playquiz/quiz3896252c9a1c0.htmlAlso not a fan of that shade of light blue. But that's just me. What is that? Periwinkle?

Terry:
Thanks for darkening and making the lettering for "you have already played this quiz" much thicker. It is so much better now! No searching or wondering.
