Font sizes on all new pages should be consistent.

On the new pages the font size is smaller than on the home page or the standard default font size here. The profile font is smaller than on team pages. To me it looks smaller than this. This is the size of the font on the team pages. That. was the smallest size available here.

So, yes, the size is consistent on the team pages. But the size isn't consistent with the rest of FunTrivia. And it is eye strainingly too small to read for more than short periods of time.

Hmm I see what you mean with the profile page Mira, the fonts in the tabbed section are definitely too small. I'll fiddle.

The team page fonts look the same as always to me though -- they were always 15pt size, both before and now.

Is there a particular part of the team section you are referring to?

Almost everything relating to the team pages is in a small font. It begins on the front page with the blurb which is in a smaller font than it used to be to the table of games which is more difficult to read without the lines for our eyes to follow the rows. The only thing that is larger is the "Invite people to Group Team Name" at the bottom of the fron page. That is huge!

But the team message board, from the topic list, the postings, all of the points listings, the Global statistics, the Knockout pages, the badge updates, the Duel scores and steps ... All of those pages, everything available to the team only by a team link, has a font size the same size as the names listed on this page http://www.funtrivia.com/minigame/divstats.cfm
However, the background colors on the team pages combined with the small fonts make it more difficult for our eyes* to adjust to the words comfortably.

And is there any chance of changing the color of that green that is the background for the initial post in a thread on the team message board? Please?

I agree, MiraJane. If the font size could be a wee bit larger it would be great!

Here are comments from 5 members of our team, generally people are finding the pages more difficult to read:

I find it harder to read as the letters seem to be skinnier and lighter in colour.

I'm not sure what advantage the change is supposed to have achieved. Maybe it works better on mobile devices but I use a PC so nothing they've done seems like an improvement to me.

I find it more difficult with the new format. I see no improvement what-so-ever, to the contrary.

The team pages are harder for me to read. I already have problems in reading now that I didn't use to, often feeling sick when I stay online too long. Noticing the color/contrast again with our posted messages, the background is a bit too dark for comfort in reading the words, a strain actually.

I do not like the "new look". The combinations are very difficult for my ancient eyes, which actually ache if stay on very long.

Rather than checking upthread in case it's been mentioned already there's currently no links out of the Team Heroes after playing the quiz so you have to click various alternative routes to return to the chat or homepage.

I thought that too, but have found that I can navigate directly almost anywhere by using the drop down menus.

You can find the links in the menus at the top of the screen. I finally worked out how to get straight from Team Heroes to Team vs Team - the link I used to use is not there, but when I float the cursor over the Game dropdown, I see all of them, and can go straight to the one I want. No need to go back to the home page.

With the upgrades, one of my favorite threads, "The Forgotten Gems of Funtrivia" is "temporarily unavailable."
Please, return the thread to the homepage, it is extremely useful for the "play and rate 5 quizzes with fewer than 100 ratings" Daily Challenge.

Please, Terry. I checked. I've got my iPad screens set to be dimmer than what apple considers to be normal. But now you've changed the Daily Challenges page too. Why is it so bright? Why is everything so bright? I am literally getting headaches after playing here everyday. And I'm playing less than I used to play!

Okay, I admit it. I'm prone to migraines. I live in a world that most people might consider a bit dark with consideration to light. Unshielded LED lights are like sharp, thin blades to the eyes and brain. The backgrounds you are using as your first choice aren't that bad but they are a massive assault to me and, I'm speculating, to the other migraine prone here. I know there are migraine prone here because I've discussed ways of removing parts of our skulls when we have headaches. A nice cannon blast to one side seems less painful than these headaches. I've still got the headache from my 2,471 points of Wednesday.

My brightness on iPad set at about 80% and has been for a while. I have not noticed a difference.

I think the new font style is easier to read and don't see any "harshness" in the color scheme. I'm using a p.c. though, and only use my phone to visit here late at night when I don't feel like turning my computer back on.

However I am sensitive to any migraine sufferers here. I've had them my whole life and usually end up in bed with no sound, all the lights off and an ice pack on my head until I can fall asleep long enough for one to go away. So if the whites could be muted slightly, I would be all for it.

I also increased the contrast a bit on the team message boards to improve readability.

I can tell the difference in the font size and the toned down green and white on the team message boards looks good to me.

On the "Forgotten Gems" again, Terry, now we can only see the first 50 quizzes and one page while the old thread had 17 pages!!! Can you possibly fix that, too?

I'm hesitant to "add to the pile" with a request of my own, and this is certainly a low-priority thing, but... one other page that doesn't display is the "FunTrivia Esoteric Quizzes" list -- http://www.funtrivia.com/ql.cfm?esoteric=1 . It just says "Database temporarily unavailable."
