The Evil Twin is at it again! At least this time, he didn't lock me up in any dungeon. But he has a new plan: He dug a HOLE into the LAWN, right in front of the Tower of Challenges. Not any hole, but a mass grave, the final resting place of the tens of thousands of quizzes authors have begun but never finished. He's preparing a dark ritual to release the ghosts of quizzes past and overwrite our trove of trivia with blank quizzes, random letters, hopeless grammar and worse feats of authoring than you can ever imagine.

Thankfully, we can disrupt his plans, but I need your help. That evil cat has installed a magic barrier that prevents me from getting into the tower. So you will need to venture in and retrieve some lanterns. Nine of them, to be exact, all different. Once you have them, place them on the grave. I already have put markers on the graveyard to show which one needs to go where. Once you have found them all, light them with your trivia abilities. Just make sure the evil spirits don't put them out again - you need all nine lit at the same time to dispel the darkness that threatens us.

The usual precautions apply - we need to keep discussions out of the open to not tip him off, but your team message boards are safe for discussing everything related to the latest threat. He still can't get there. Those of you absolutely wanting to go solo, be aware that you need to be in a team, even if you're the only member. Oh, in case you should find two identical lanterns, you only need one of them. The second one is for those of you who might have problems lighting the primary - but either one works.

We are certain you have at least a week of time to prevent disaster, but the evil one's plans and powers can never be exactly estimated.

Color me stupid because I am just not understanding what I'm supposed to do or even look for. What games are we to play? I liked this game when there were clues and instructions to follow.

It appears to be a free for all, just play everything and see what is lighting up?!?! I'm all over the place with this game lol, if nothing else I'm on a wild goose chase.

Even with clues, these Halloween challenges are all trial and error and watching what changes the challenge page picture. Just do everything you can think of and see what affects the graveyard lanterns. And make sure to keep track of what turns which lanterns on in case you accidentally turn them off!

Carving my pumpkin as we speak

I get so close, and then one goes out as another lights up.

There are clues, big ones even. It just seems no one is finding them. You need to go into the tower instead of just all camping on the graveyard!

So that's why I saw a random lantern! I wondered why that was there… we'd already figured out the mini before I saw it, though.

One to go - and stumped!

I find it very hard to perceive whether the green lantern with the letter A is lit or not.

Then it's not.

Weak bluish or greenish shimmers are reflections of ghosts, not lit lanterns. Lit lanterns are orange/yellow/white with a clear flame or other light source.

I am trying to do a crossword and for some reason the letters are not being accepted.

Try checking to see if your Flash Player is enabled. Crosswords are working for me on Firefox browser, but not on Microsoft Edge, where Flash is always a problem for some reason.

I couldn't get the letters entered using Firefox (even after I allowed it to activate Flash, which it did reluctantly), but Chrome worked fine.

It has been a very intriguing challenge, well done Wesley!
