Thanking DireWolf74 for his suggestion we move this problem from "Minor Issues" to its own thread.

I have two team members who have been subjected to unwarranted champion status changes in the hourly games.

Pehinhota has been advanced to the Champion's Division in Piece of Cake although he hasn't yet netted the Monthly Badge.
IMABearsfan has recently lost his Champion status in Piece of Cake for no apparent reason.

I see from previous posts to "Minor Issues" the same has occurred with players wayne8351, Deadwood003, and luceze.

I urge any player who has experienced Champion Division Status Changes to post specifics to this thread. Hopefully, those capable of correcting the issue will do so before it gets out of hand.

As DireWolf74 so succinctly stated, "I believe that problem qualifies as more than just a minor issue since it has the potential to affect them and other players in the Monthly badge race and some of the other challenges. I'm afraid if those type of problems are left in this thread, they will be lost in a sea of truly minor issues."

As it turns out, whether or not you are a Champion in any particular game seems to have no affect on anything.

But I hope a solution is found.

When a player is bumped out of a Champion Division and back into the rank and file, it becomes a morale issue. After all, they did work hard to obtain all the badges required for advancement. Therefore, it then becomes more than "minor", IMHO.

I too, hope someone will take the time to address and correct the problem.

Being bumped up into Champions will have an effect on Daily Challenges. For most of us it becomes more difficult to come in first or second when in champions.

Also, the purpose of champions is so the better players, the ones that worked to get into champions gaining speed and knowledge along the way, wouldn't constantly win in the lower ranks. Joining a website to play games and constantly losing or scoring in the bottom is demoralizing and won't give newer players a reason to stick around.

Besides, we want those newer players to become badge tarts! They've got to be able to win those badges by coming in first & doing well in the Triathalon and winning those badges, and getting those Daily Challenges done and winning those badges!

Yes, when badges are at stake, it definitely is not a minor issue!

I hope the issue gets resolved and regardless if it has an impact on stats or anything else is completely irrelevant, if you didn't win it you shouldn't have it, period!

Today I was given the boot out of the "Death Becomes Them" Expert Game Champion Division. I gained this Champion Status on June 3, 2014 by beating 28 players. Anyone else given the boot out of Expert?

This is just a guess so I might be off base here. (Nothing new)

Looking at my own list of Expert wins, there are actually two different "Death Becomes Them" topics in Expert. I want to say one is in "People" and the other might be "Celebrities". Don't quote me on that though, somebody else will know for sure.

So I'm guessing the one you saw today was in the topic that you haven't won yet. And that's why you were not in the Champs Division.

Since there are two, then that must be the case. I'll take a better look when it comes up again. Sorry for the error.

I was hoping the December roll-over would act as an auto-correct. It hasn't. My team member, Pehinhota, gained the Monthly Easy Game Badge for last month, so he is now rightfully a Champion. Perhaps this issue will become a priority after all the site graphic art changes are completed.

Yes, I'm sure it will be looked into after the site redesign is done.

It appears I am back to where I started and no longer have the 'champion' status. Thanks for resolving the issue!
