The Funtrivia Duel quizzes would not load today using Firefox. In the bottom left of the screen there was a message - Transferring data from ucid.vindicosuite.com which didn't go away.

Tried quizzes with IE and no problem.

vindicosuite is not a site that FunTrivia has anything to do with but rather an aggressive adware / tracker site.

You probably have an unwanted extension in Firefox (duel quiz pages do not contain ads, so it can't be that) that was trying to serve you an ad. Check your installed extensions; the most likely kind is a so-called "toolbar" or "search bar": those pretend to be useful but in reality just serve to record your browsing and serve you ads, more often than not of questionable ethic value.

I don't have any extensions. Nothing has changed since yesterday when the quizzes loaded.

I did activate tracking protection in Firefox and also cleared the site and tracking cookies. That seemed to help, for now.

Duel pages do contain ads, if you are a regular member.

I can see an ad for a Dodge Ram truck at the bottom of this page.

I know in the past there were problems with some of those ads not loading all the way and Terry went in and removed the ads that were causing issues.

I thought he had removed ads from the duel play page entirely just to prevent this kind of issue and possible reload penalties. Must have misunderstood something there.
