I suggest a new badge for Word Wizard. It is one of the favorite games on site (one
of mine at least). To renew interest and create an attainable goal let's have a new
badge.

I propose the badge be called "Eat Your Words!" or "Food for Thought?" with 7 food items
(pizza, sushi, steak, bacon, tacos, chips, pasta) or other five-letter food items.

OR

Create a mini for the same thing with 5 four-letter food items.

Currently, we have a badge for Word Safari with 591 winners thus far.
(zebra, moose, sloth, llama, tiger, otter, dingo):
We also have a mini for Word Alchemy with 936 winners thus far:
(neon, iron, zinc, gold, lead)

Please give it a thought.

I recall several months a few years back where I topped or came close to topping the scoreboard for words created. Involved an awful lot of sleepless nights. Seems like a badge might be overdue for this side of the Wizard game.

Lots of yummy badges coming up in the future no doubt. Pity we can't sew them on a shirt, like those North Korean generals. They even have them going down the legs of their trousers now. They remind me of those funny home made "musical" instruments from old Australian bush bands.

They comprised a whole PILE of beer bottle caps (what else) nailed loosely all the way down on long pieces of wood, which were then banged on the floor in time to the rest of the music. They jangled. The generals probably do as well.

Just looked it up. They were/are called Lagerphones or Murrumbidgee River Rattlers. They're described as "A triumph of recycling technology and percussive versatility, this instrument is constructed from a number of lager bottle tops nailed to a broomstick handle, and when hit, makes a sound not unlike a number of lager bottle tops nailed to a broomhandle."

"Triumph of recycling technology", my backside. If you're not an Australian, that translates to "The perfect excuse to go out and buy another dozen or so bottles of beer (hic) - the boys need new musical instruments for the (hic) band"

There is somewhere a cartoon about Goering having to put some medals on his dachshund...
