The blurb states to take 750 quizzes in any mode OR 250 in Hard and a Badge is handed out immediately upon completion.

I have completed 252 in Hard mode (and 200 plus in Easy) but I have no Badge. Do I have to carry on till I have 750?

If you check the list of winners of this badge you'll see that it's awarded twice a day - it will turn up soon.

The challenge text does not say twice a day, which was why I asked. It arrived at 9:34 or 13:34 GMT

Challenge texts are not always exactly right on award frequency.

If you are expecting one and it doesn't show, a quick glance at the list of winners to see the pattern before sounding the alarm never hurts.

If you see the phrase "Handed out immediately upon completion" on a challenge page, that just means that you don't have to go back and manually claim the badge yourself. It will show up on it's own...eventually.

Pretty much every badge whose requirements can be worded as "Do X a number Y of times" is checked in six hour intervals, at 3:34 and 9:34. This check only looks at recently active accounts (or what the server considers one). If one of these times passed without the award since you completed the criteria, please play any one hourly or daily game (it doesn't matter which one, any non-zero score will do) - that will definitely mark you as recently active and it will arrive on the next trigger.

I am looking to get the 100 crosswords completed challenge. Until recently I have not been able to complete crosswords since I got windows 10 and a new laptop. However now there has been a fix to sort out this problem I can do them again. Over the last two days I have completed several crosswords, mostly in the music section, but when they have gone I have got a message back in some instances saying 'You have already been credited for this crossword' (or something similar). When I went into these crosswords I could not see anything on the list of crosswords to indicate I had played them before or on the blank crossword page before playing. Am I missing something. Is there an indication as with the quizzes to advise you have already played one before or when you go into the crossword. Can anyone help or advise on this.

When I open up the crossword page there is a green stripe through the ones I've played, as with quizzes. That's been there as long as I have been playing them. If I open a crossword that I've played before, in the upper left under the title it says "You have played this puzzle before.

On my laptop there is very feint blue lines and a pale blue tick on some crosswords although on my tablet they are dark green. However I was sure the ones I played had no lines through so just now I played a crossword in the music section which definitely did not have a line through it or a tick or a note saying I had already played it. I completed the crossword it went and back it came with the message Congratulations....You have already been scored on this crossword before.
I don't know why this is happening.

I have just played another quiz in the religion section this time and I get the same answer after completing is...Congratulation then you have been scored for this quiz before. I have definitely not played it before. I don't know what to do about this error message I keep getting.

If you go to view scores for the puzzle, does it show your most recent play scored?

I'm also getting the message "Congratulations! You have been scored for this puzzle in the past." on puzzles which I have never done before. The scores are awarded correctly but the message is jarring.

Also, the page with that message has no links to go anywhere. The only way to move is to use the browser back button or re-type the URL. In contrast, the page that says "Congratulations! You scored 50 bonus points for completing this puzzle." includes links for returning to the main Crossword page and for submitting a correction or a compliment.

There doesn't seem to be a trend for when the different messages occur.

I have just played another crossword not played before and got the same message. However my profile was updated for a new crossword played so I was credited with having played a new crossword I hadn't played before. Not sure though if I am getting the 50 bonus points.

Is it possible you are somehow double-submitting? When I have had lengthy delays in having a game submitted, and after a minute or more hit submit again, I sometimes get a message saying I have already played, and do not see the usual screen with my answers and the extra information.

No I am not double submitting. When the crossword is finished correctly then it just whizzes off of it's own accord and then this message comes up. There is no way I can have submitted it again as it is no longer on the screen.

I am also having problems with playing crosswords on my tablet. At the bottom of the screen there is now a keying in pad which is great but unfortunately it covers the last line of the crossword. I have a 10 inch tablet so it is of a reasonable size.

ruby -- have you tried turning your tablet sideways into portrait mode? Is it playable there?

As for double submit, I see in the log that the game is sending 4 or 5 submits when you finish a game. Im not sure why but I'll look into it.

Ok please try crossword playing a bit and let me know if the "double submit" problem is now fixed. I made a tweak to the game.

I played four crosswords without getting the message about previously scored, so I think Terry may have solved it. Thanks!

Only just picked message up so will give it a try. I will also try my tablet sideways which I think will solve the problem. Thanks for help

I have played three crosswords now and they all went through as they should with no message received about having previously done them so problem seems to be fixed. Thanks Terry

Also turning tablet sideways solves my other problem.
