What wonderful news - congratualtions to Jack, Jill and to baby Conor...... not to forget TigerGran!
I wish you a speedy recovery from the operation Jillian, love to you all.
Edited due to the eagle eyes of Fosse4! Many thanks for spotting the last (I hope) of the mis-spelt names. Phew, just as well before Jillian sees the thread

Oh wow! A boy! Oh well, missed that one, fifty fifty chance.
Our Jillian with a caesarean!
Many congratulations to the whole family; it must be thrilling for Tigergran to have another little Tiger fan in the family.
Much love;
Heather
Lovely name too!
(Ashleigh is so hard to spell anyhow!)

You know it sounds like one of those novels Jillian loves, a whole Australian saga is being written! Conor...very nice.
I so envy people when they find a good boy's name! Courtenay, you know?
How long will it be before he's out riding horses and doing all that stuff? Not long!
I almost named mine Raphael except his sister said, "you're not naming my brother after a Ninja turtle!"
That ruled out Donatello and Michelangelo! He loves his name though, the top five with a twist!
Well, I'm still misty eyed...really, thought it would never happen.

Oh, I am so excited for Jillian and Jack and tigergran. Little Conor's arrival was taking so long I thought I'd have to request an epidural.:)
This is really such wonderful news! Welcome to the world, Conor!
You did it, Jill! You're a mommy! Congratulations!

This is one very, very happy Cyber Godfather (damn this having to go to work lark - would have got to know sooner and beaten Sue to the post)
CONGRATULATIONS TO JILLIAN AND JACK - WELCOME LITTLE ROO.
LOTS OF LOVE FROM UNCLE FOSSE
Thanks to Tigergran for letting us (Sue and myself by e-mail) know ASAP after the event.

My most sincere apologies to Jack, Jill and Conor - in my excitement I inadvertently typed Connor in the title of the topic, went back and edited it to Conor but it only altered the first post not those which followed. I will go back and alter them all but bear with me as new posts will have the double N until I can change them.
That will teach me to post during office time - oh, and my colleagues were also pleased, including my boss.

Hurray, that is done. Hopefully new posts will now have the correct name. So sorry about all the 'Edited by sue943', I can't stop it happening when I edit, never mind, we have the names correct now.

let's hope Jack gets it right when registering the name - no second chances as I found out when registering Rachel as Rachael (fortunately she now likes the difference).

HURRAYYYYYYYYY !!!!!!!! Congratulations Jill, absolutely fantastic news, we're SO, SO pleased for you !!!! I hope you're feeling OK and recovering well and that the whole experience was as rewarding for you as it was for me. Remember what we said about holding our little ones in our arms for the first time? It surpasses all expectation doesn't it. Welcome to the world little Roo, Tinker says hello . Errrrm, I'm really sorry to have to do this to you all but the virtual champagne will have to be returned and there'll have to be a recount. The stupid excuse for a midwife who weighed Alex when he was born has completely messed things up, she put down 2.67 kg or 6lb 14oz. 2.67 kg is actually equivalent to 5 lb 14 oz. Today Alex weighed 3kg, but because of this shameless incompetence we don't know whether he has lost or gained weight. We THINK that it's 5 lb 14 oz as this seems the most likely but we have to wait for our named midwife to try and sort things out and find out which figure is right. We'll obviously keep you all posted. Congrats again Jill, oh we can't WAIT to see a picture!!!!! All our love and good wishes, from Joanna, Paul and Alexander xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Babies frequently lose a little weight in the first few days after the birth so either could be correct - the midwife should know just be the appearance at birth, an experienced one should be able to look at a baby and be fairly accurate without the scales.

Congatulations Jillian. I hope you find all the happiness in your little one as I have found in mine. Hope you feel better soon, sounds like you went through almost exactly what I did so I feel for you.

No recount necessary Lupetta - Nearest guess was mine but wrong sex (as it was with Jillian) Ren and Copago still share the Champagne for Tinker and you share with Buffy on the bottle for Jillian -
Sharing both virtual bottles with you - Cheers,
Health and Happiness to both babies - John
