• George95 missed the Huddersfield vs Hull KR match with late tips, lodged after the game had finished.
• Huddersfield scored the first try at home against Hull KR but that was as good as it got as the visitors then piled on 6 tries and 38 points of their own for their first away win of the season. It was the opposide for the other Hull side as Salford finished strongly to beat Hull FC at home by 16 points. St Helens and Leeds went to the break tied at 12 and after the hour mark they could still not be separated, then Leeds broke the game open with 2 quick tries to end the Saints unbeaten start to the season. Warrington opened the scoring in France in the 4th minute and never looked back as they strolled to a comfortable win over the Catalan Dragons, keeping their hosts scoreles in the process. After a snow clearing operation, Wakefield's home game kicked-off and both teams had trouble keeping hold of the ball. Visibilty worsened and the referee called the game off after 27 minutes with Wakefield leading 2-0 but it will be replayed. After a lot of rain followed by snow and sub-zero temperatures the pitch at Castleford was frozen as was the seats in the grandstand so their match against Wigan was postponed due to fears for player's and spectator's safety. Who says England always has lovely weather.
• Of the 4 games that were played we were as abysmal as the weather as we went just 16/51 or 31.37%. No game was perfect though Warrington's win at Catalans got close with just dg_dave picking the Catalans. No one picked Hull KR's win at Huddersfield while wwe84 was the only one who thought Salford would beat Hull FC.
• For the second week in a row everyone either got a weekly win (4) or a spoon (9). The weekly winners were wwe84, gtho4, ElfTwinkle and dg_dave with it being the first of the season for dg_dave.
• No change at the top with paper_aero, N-Bomb and Dizart leading the way by 1 point. At the bottom, George95 is 3 points clear of the defaulting illiniman14 and 1 point behind PaulE and dg_dave.

• Salford travelled to Widnes and left wondering how they did not win as they were leading at the break and with 10 minutes to go but 2 late Vikings tries snatched the win for the home side. Leeds hosted Castleford in a replay of the 2017 grand final and it was all the Tigers early on as they raced to a 24-0 lead after 23 minutes. Leeds started their comeback with 2 tries before the half-time and 3 after but a long range Castleford field goal just before the break proved to be the crucial score as the Tigers won by 1 point despite being outscore by 5 tries to 4. It was entertaining as Warrington put together a good performance and were always just ahead of Wakefield, making it safe with a try in the closing stages. Hull FC had lost all 4 away games this season so were happy to be back at home where they defended their unbeaten home streak with a very comfortable win over the Catalan Dragons. Hull KR hosted league leaders St Helens and they were defeated by 24 points, a scoreline that did not reflect how tough it was for the Saints to win, Hull injuries and a sinbinning had a big say in the end. It was all one-way traffic as Wigan thumped Huddersfield by 38 points to make it 3 wins in a row.
• It was a very good round as we went 59/78 or 74.65% with 3 perfect games, being the Hull FC, St Helens and Wigan victories. Castleford's win at Leeds proved to be tricky to pick and just paper_aero, sirini701 and ElfTwinkle getting this.
• There were 2 perfect rounds as both paper_aero and srini701 went 6/6 and earned themselves a bonus point as well. After 9 spoons last week we only award 8 this week, now I will have to ring the spoon maker for some more and hopefully they will arrive in time for round 8.
• We have a change at the top as paper_aero jumps ahead by himself to take a 2 point lead over N-Bomb and Dizart. No change at the bottom as the final 5 all gained a spoon or went default.

• One team wore black, the other team wore white but by the end of the game both teams wore mud. It was mud coloured Castleford that ground out a low scoring win in the rain over the mud coloured Wakefield. It was an entertaining Hull derby in front of a record KCOM Craven Park crowd as Hull FC overcame the early loss of a player sent off for a high tackle to beat Hull KR by 8 points. Catalans Dragons horror start to the season continued as they still have not learned how to catch and pass, an important part of rugby league, this time they lost away at Salford who won for the third time out of four at home this season. Josh Charnley made his Warrington debut after transferring over from rugby and had an immediate impact as he scored 2 tries in the Wolves win over Widnes. Huddersfield were never behind against Leeds but could not close out the game as a 76th converted Leeds try tied it up, the Giants still had a chance to win it but failed with a field goal attempt and we had our first draw of the season. St Helens almost let a 12-2 half-time lead slip against Wigan as the Warriors took the lead in the 65th minute but the Saints scored the winning try with 5 minutes top go and ended Wigan's run of Good Friday victories at 8.
• It was a good round as we went 54/78 or 69.23% with only 1 perfect game, being Salford's home win over Catalans. As to be expected the draw between Huddersfield and Leeds was not tipped by anyone.
• The draw ruined any prospects of a perfect round and the weekly win went to 6 of us who all went 5/6. Thankfully only 2 spoons were handed out to ozzz2002 and George95 who both went 2/6 so I did not have to rush and open the new box of spoons that had only just arrived.
• No change at the top as paper_aero maintains his lead over N-Bomb and Dizart though it has halved to 1 point. George95 maintains the 3 point gap over the defaulting illiniman14 while ozzz2002 drops to third to last.

• Castleford's 5 match winning streak came to an end as Warrington handled the mud bath better to eke out the win and take their winning streak to 4. Catalans finally put together a good and disciplined half of rugby league this season as they overcame a 6-4 deficit at half-time against Huddersfield to run away with it in the end. Hull FC were behind by 10 points at the break at home to Wakefield but a second half comeback was sealed with a 50m field goal in the last 90 seconds for a 1 point victory. Leeds had won their previous 10 home games against Salford and that run never looked like coming to an end as they kept the Red Devils scoreless. St Helens maintained their 4 point lead at the top of the standings with a comfortable win at Widnes, scoring 3 tries in each half. Wigan bounced back to winning ways with a thumping of Hull KR by 38 points in testing conditions.
• It was a very good round as we went 54/72 for an even 75% strike rate. It was helped immensely by 3 perfect games as everyone tipped the Leeds, St Helens and Wigan wins. The hardest game to tip was Warrington's win at Castleford which only Sypher and ozzz2002 wwre successful.
• Sypher became the latest to go perfect with 6/6 and earn himself a second bonus point this season. The spoons flew out this round as 7 of us took one home with 4/6.
• A slight change at the top as N-Bomb and Dizart join paper_aero and Sypher closes to within 1 point. No change at the botom as George95 maintains the 3 point gap over the defaulting illiniman14.

• St Helens overcame the loss of their star fullback to illness but still carried on their merry way with a 9th win in 10 games to start the season and remain atop the standings. Salford suffered a rare home loss this season as Warrington took away a hard fought victory to make it 5 wins in a row. Catalans looked to be in control at home to Wigan when leading 21-0 early in the second half but the Warriors refused to roll over and started their comeback, eventually turning it around to beat the Dragons 32-23. Hull KR snapped a 3 game losing streak as they raced clear of Widnes in the final 20 minutes. The highest scoring game of the round saw Castleford withstand a Huddersfield second half comeback to beat the Giants 40-28. Leeds overcame a narrow half-time deficit at Wakefield to edge their hosts by 2 points, a sideline conversion with 5 minutes to go proving to be the difference as Wakefield narrowed the gap with a converted try of their own in the 79th minute.
• It was an excellent round as we went 62/72 for a 86.11% strike rate as the favourites all won. What was strange was we only had 1 perfect game where we all tipped St Helens to beat Hull FC. The hardest game to tip was Hull KR's win at home to Widnes but even then 8 of us got it correct.
• We had 6 more perfect rounds as wwe84, Dizart, gtho4, srini701, Howie72 and PaulE all went 6/6 and earned a bonus point each. Just one spoon was awarded and dg_dave took it home with 3/6.
• Only Dizart of the top 3 went perfect so he opens up a 2 point gap over paper_aero, N-Bomb and srini701 who powers up the standings to join them. At the bottom George95 catches up with ozzz2002 who had gone default and they have a 5 point gap over the still defaulting illiniman14.

• Despite what it said in the tipping thread, it was Widnes that was at home to Hull FC and they went down to the visitors after 3 tries in a 6 minute second half spell clinched it for Hull. Leeds were ahead of Wigan 8-0 in a dour game with just 10 minutes left but for the second week in a row, the Warriors refused to give up and drew level before a late long range field goal won it for them though Leeds still had time to force a draw but their last gasp field goal was missed. Warrington survived a huge scare when Hull KR scored 3 converted tries in the first 9 minutes of the second period to cut a 20 point half-time deficit to just 2 points. Warrington then steadied the ship to pull away again. Salford were never behind at Huddersfield as they powered to their first away win of the season. Wakefield halted their 5 game losing streak when they stunned league leading St Helens at home by 4 points, just the second loss for the Saints. It was all one-way traffic at Castleford as the home team thumped Catalans, the Dragons looking like they had not recovered from letting a 21-0 lead slip last week against Wigan.
• It was an average round as we went 46/78 for a 58.97% strike rate. Weirdly, we had more perfect games than last week where we averaged about 5/6. The perfect games were the Warrington and Castleford wins while no one thought Wakefield would beat St Helens.
• Only 2 weekly winners this round as wwe84 and ElfTwinkle went 5/6 while paper_aero took home the solo spoon with 3/6.
• Dizart maintains his 2 point lead at the top ahead of 4 others this week while paper_aero drops off the podium. No change at the bottom as ozzz2002 and George93 cancel each other out and remain well clear of the defaulting illiniman14.

• dg_dave and illiniman14 tipped the mid-February matches but were absent for the remaining 4 games so have been placed on default fuel.
• ozzz2002 and PaulE missed the Hull FC vs Leeds match due to late tips, lodged after the game had finished.
• The first 2 matches were played between rounds 2 and 3 in mid February. Hull KR comfortably overcame an error-prone Catalans at home while Warrington made it 10 wins in a row against Widnes though had to withstand a Vikings comeback in the second half. Hull FC lead 8-0 at halftime over Leeds but the Rhinos stormed back in the second half with 3 tries in a 10 minute period to take the lead only for Hull to draw level and secure the win with a late field goal. Wakefield could not follow up their stunning win over St Helens last week as they went down meekly at home to Salford, the 34 point Red's winning margin thoroughly deserved. Wigan took a narrow 2 point lead into the second 40 minutes against Catalans but ran away with it in the second half as they kept the Tigers scoreless while running in 3 tries themselves. St Helens took their round 11 defeat to Wakefield out on Huddersfield as they scored 12 tries to thrash the Giants by 62 points and remain 2 points clear of Wigan at the top of the standings.
• It was a better round this week as we went 46/70 for a 65.71% strike rate, well it was the same number of correct tips but a lower number of tips. Two more perfect games as we all tipped Wigan to beat Castleford and St Helens to beat Huddersfield. The hardest game to tip was Hull KR's win over Catalans which just 3 of us got correct.
• Our two weekly winners from round 11 repeated in round 12 with an identical 5/6 and they were joined by ozzz2002 who went 5/5 but was ineligible for a bonus point as he missed one game. Another solo spoon and this time it went to gtho4 with 2/6.
• Dizart sees wwe84 cut his lead at the top to 1 point while N-Bomb is a further point behind in soo third. At the bottom ozzz2002 jumps clear of George95 and catches up with dg_dave while the defaulting illiniman14 is 7 points adrift.

• Sypher and George95 missed the Salford vs St Helens match due to late tips, lodged after the game had finished.
• The good news for Salford was they started their home game against St Helens level, the bad news was they finished the game trailing by 50 points despite the Saints having a player sent off. Warrington extended their good run of form with an easy victory at home to struggling Huddersfield, the Wolves have now won 8 in a row. It all looked good for Widnes at half-time as they lead Wigan 18-4 but once again the Warriors mounted a second half comeback to outscore their hosts 28-6 in the second 40 minutes and keep up the pressure on St Helens at the top. Catalans came from a half-time deficit at home to Hull FC to snatch the win with a 79th minute field goal and move off the bottom of the standings. Leeds also came back from a half-time deficit at Hull KR to keep their host scoreless after the break and eke out the win by 2 points. It was a little more comfortable for Catleford as they recorded a 10th straight victory over Wakefield.
• It was an excellent round this week as we went 63/76 for an 82.89% strike rate. It was helped sonsiderably by two more perfect games as we all tipped Warrington to beat Huddersfield and Wigan to beat Widnes. The hardest game to tip was Catalans win over Hull KR which just 3 of us got correct.
• Perfect rounds of 6/6 saw Howie72 and ElfTwinkle take the weekly win and a bonus point each, ElfTwinkle now has 3 weekly wins in a row. Wooden spoons went to ozzz2002 and dg_dave with 4/6 along with Sypher and George95 who both went 4/5.
• Dizart sees his lead over wwe84 at the top remain at 1 point while ElfTwinkle joins wwe84 in a tie for second. At the bottom nothing has changed as the bottom 3 regular tippers all took home a spoon.

• George95 missed the St Helens vs Catalans match due to late tips, lodged after the game had finished.
• St Helens were not at there best but still did more than enough to cruise to a win over Catalans after sprinting from the blocks with 2 early tries. Jacob Wardle scored two tries on his Super League debut as Huddersfield overcame Widnes to put a smile on the face of their new head coach who takes over next week. Warrington jumped out to a 10-0 early lead at Leeds before the home team struck back to be ahead 22-11 on the hour mark. However, Warrington scored 4 times in the final 20 minutes to extend their winning streak to 9 games. It was easy enough for Hull FC as they moved into the top 4 in the standings with a 24 point win over Castleford. Wakefield put in an inspirational performance to thrash Hull KR by 54-18. Wigan kept Salford scoreless while putting 30 points past the Reds to remain just behind St Helens at the top of the standings.
• It was another excellent round this week as we went 57/71 for an 80.28% strike rate, just a tad down on last week. We had 3 perfect games as we all tipped the St Helens, Wakefield and Wigan victories. The hardest game to tip was Warrington's win at Leeds where half of us would have been happy whomever had won.
• We had another perfect round as this time Sypher went 6/6 and earned himself a weekly win and take home a bonus point in the process. Just 1 wooden spoon headed to a new home this week as wwe84 went 3/6 to take the honours.
• Dizart remains 1 point ahead of ElfTwinkle with wwe84 dropping off the podium, N-Bomb and Sypher standing together on the third step of the podium. At the bottom George95 closes the gap to dg_dave to 1 point while ozzz2002 opens a 1 point gap over dg_dave.

• It was Magic Weekend where all 6 games are played over 2 days at the same venue with St James' Park in Newcastle being the host. St Helens kicked off the weekend with a hard fought win over Widnes, keeping the Vikings scoreless in the second half while increasing their narrow half-time lead. Wigan took their winning run to 8 games while ending Warrington's at 10 as they convincingly beat the Wolves by 28 points, being too clinical in attack and scrambling well on defence. Reigning champions Leeds lost more ground on the top 4 as they suffered a 4th defeat in their last 5 games, this time Castleford beating up on them to record an identical scoreline to the Wigan game. Catalans enjoyed a rare win as they comfortably beat Salford to move off the bottom of the table. For the second week in a row, Huddersfield emerged victorious against Wakefield after beating them by 3 points in the league the win over them in the Challenge Cup, they had to withstand a Wildcats comeback after the Giants lead 18-0. The weekend finished with the Hull derby and it was Hull FC that took the honours for the 7th consecutive derby over Hull KR.
• It was not a magic weekend for tipping unless you were dg_dave as we went 44/78 for a strike rate of 56.41%. This was despite having 2 perfect games as we all tipped the St Helens and Hull FC to win. The hardest games to tip were the Catalans win over Salford which only dg_dave and N-Bomb picked, along with Huddersfield's win over Wakefield which once again saw dg-dave pick it along with Sypher.
• We had a hattrick of perfect rounds as this time dg_dave went 6/6 and earned himself a weekly win and a bonus point. Once again a solo spoon was handed out, this time to ozzz2002 with 2/6. After dg_dave's bonus point it leaves just ozzz2002 and George95 without one of the regular tippers.
• Dizart retains his 1 point ahead while Sypher joins ElfTwinkle in second place, N-Bomb and wwe84 only just off the podium while the top 9 are separated by just 4 points. At the bottom George95 remains 1 point but this time it is ozzz2002 just in front of him with dg_dave pulling 4 points ahead of ozzz2002.

• It was business as usual for St Helens as the league leaders crushed Castleford by 22 points, scoring their first try in just the 3rd minute. It was a 4th straight win for Huddersfield as they accounted for Salford to move above their hosts into the top 8. Warrington looked like they were replaying last week's loss to Wigan as they trailed 12-0 at the break but words of wisdom from their coach saw the Wolves run in 30 unanswered points to take the victory. Wigan jumped out to an 8-0 lead at Hull KR and there was no sign of the drama to come, momentum then shifted and Wigan had no answer as Hull KR pulled off the shock of the season to stun the Warriors by 24-8 and move off the bottom of the standings. Three first half tries proved to be enough for Wakefield to defeat Widnes despite struggling in the second 40 minutes. Catalans heaped more misery on Leeds as they lead from start to finish for a comfortable victory.
• It was another average tipping round as we went 41/76 for a strike rate of 53.94%, slightly down on last week. We had one perfect game as we all tipped St Helens to win away at Castleford while no one gave Hull KR a chance of pulling off the huge upset over Wigan.
• No perfect round and it showed in the number of weekly winners as 6 of us went 4/6. There was also an increase in spoons awarded as 4 of us went 2/6 or 2/5.
• Dizart has company at the front as Sypher joins him and these 2 are 1 point ahead of ElfTwinkle and N-Bomb. The gap between the top 9 has narrowed to just 3 points. At the bottom George95 remains 1 point behind ozzz2002 as the bottom 3 all earned a wooden spoon.
