Details for the Betfred Super League, The Qualifiers and Betfred Championship Shield Super8s will all be published on Wednesday August 1 (12pm): this will allow all clubs to feed in details of their stadium availability once the regular season has been completed and give broadcasters the opportunity to select televised fixtures for the early rounds of Super 8s. - dg_dave and illiniman14 were running on default fuel.
- George95 missed the Wakefield vs Wigan game with late tips.
- Waklefield inflicted a third (including the Challenge Cup) defeat in a row for the struggling second placed Wigan side, the Warriors left chasing the game and never got close. It was worse for Salford as they got thrashed by a rampant Hull FC and now have lost 6 in a row. Huddersfield's relegation fears were eased a bit as they deservedly won away at Leeds. It was business as usual for St Helens as they easily accounted for Hull KR and extended their lead at the top of the standings. Castleford came from 20-12 down to beat Warrington by 34-30 in a thriller and move level with their hosts in 3rd place. Catalans' revival continued with a comprehensive home win over Widnes.
- It was another average tipping round as we went 37/71 for a strike rate of 52.11%, slightly down on last week despite having 2 perfect games, being the Hull FC and St Helens victories. The hardest games to tip were the Huddersfield win at Leeds (ElfTwinkle) and Castleford's win at Warrington (wwe84).
- There were two weekly winners as wwe84 and ElfTwinkle bith went 5/6, well ahead of anyone else. Three spoons were handed out as paper_aero and ozzz2002 went 2/6 and George95 went 2/5.
- ElfTwinkle climbs to her highest spot all season while N-Bomb and paper_aero drop to their lowest.
- ElfTwinkle leaps over Dizart and Sypher to take a one point lead while wwe84 joins the other two on the podium, N-Bomb dropping to 5th though just a further point behind. The gap between the top 9 has increased to 5 points. At the bottom there is no change as George95 remains 1 point behind ozzz2002.

- It looked like Salford would extend their losing streak when trailing Widnes by 4 points at half-time but they surged home after the break to win by 14 points, the biggest winning margin of the round (the remaining games only had a total of 8 points combined winning margins), it did not help the Vikings when they had a player sent-off for dissent in the 70th minute. Huddersfield trailed 18-0 at home to Catalans but fought back and won it with a 77th minute penalty. Leeds will be wondering how they did not beat St Helens for the second time this season but it was the league leaders that secured the win with a 78th minute field goal after drawing level a few minutes earlier with a converted try. Wigan bounced back to winning ways to geat Hull FC in a hard fought match that ended in bizarre style when the Warriors attempted a potential game winning field goal only for the ball to hit the cross-bar, they gathered the rebound and scored the match-winning try instead. Warrington were outscored 5 tries to 4 by Wakefield and had to withstand a spirited Wildcats fightback but they triumphed in the end by 2 points after leading by 16 at the break. Hull KR scored 2 tries in the final 12 minutes to stun Castleford and tie the game up, 2 missed field goals from Rovers and 1 from the Tigers left the game at a stalemate for just the second draw of the season.
- It was a reasonable tipping round as we went 50/78 for a strike rate of 64.10% despite there being no perfect games, the closest being the Salford, Huddersfield and St Helens wins with 12/13 correct. Not surprisingly the hardest game to tip was the Castleford vs Hull KR draw which we all had Castleford to win.
- There were three weekly winners as PaulE, Sypher and Howie72 all went 5/6. Only one wooden spoon this week and ozzz2002 makes it 4 in a row with a score of 2/6.
- As a result of 4 consecutive spoons, ozzz2002 drops to his lowest position all season.
- There is a change for the lead again as Sypher now takes over top spot, 1 point ahead of ElfTwinkle, Dizart and wwe84. The gap between the top 9 has remains at 5 points. At the bottom, George jumps over ozzz2002 of the regular tippers.

- No game catch up so I can get this finished.
- 6 of the 8 weekly winners from the previous round repeated this round with only Dizart and wwe84 missing out, they all went 5/6. Making it 10 spoons in the last 12 rounds is ozzz2000 who takes it solo with tips of 1/6, this is an impressive run of form.
- Howie72 maintains his 2 point lead over N-Bomb and gtho4, the latter 2 enjoy a 1 point lead over ElfTwinkle while wwe84 drops off the podium. Of the regular tippers, ozzz2002 remains at the bottom, sandwiched between the defaulting illiniman14 and dg_dave. With a good final round he can move ahead of dg_dave. The three podium places are still up for grabs so who will end up there?

- dg_dave and illiniman14 were running on default fuel this week.
- No game catch up so I can get this finished.
- For the advance picks, St Helens finished on top of the table with 42 points, 10 points clear of second place Wigan who narrowly held on over Castleford who were a point further back. Wigan were unbeaten during the Super 8's and narrowed the gap at the top to 6 points. Warrington upset St Helens in one semi final while Wigan accounted for Castleford in the other. In the Grand Final Wigan came out on top over Warrington with a 12-4 victory.
- The final round saw 2 weekly winners as both Dizart and Howie72 went perfect with 4/4 in the matches and 2/2 with the advanced picks, they also earn a bonus point each. ElfTwinkle takes home the final spoon of the season with 2/6, leaving ozzz2002 with enough spoons this year to invite 16 people (and himself) to his end of season party.
- Howie72 finishes the season with 4 consecutive weekly wins and in doing so increases his lead to 4 points, the biggest lead of the season. With his weekly win and bonus point Dizart climbs over gtho4 and N-Bomb to take second place by himself. After much pushing and shoving, N-Bomb ends up on the 3rd step of the podium on countback over gtho4, his +7 differential narrowly beating gtho4's +6 differential. Not surprisingly after earning 17 spoons in 28 rounds, ozzz2002 finishes at the bottom of the regular tippers.

- The 2018 season comes to an end with Howie72 finishing strongly to take the title, only getting to the lead with 4 rounds left. Dizart takes home silver while N-Bomb takes the bronze with a good effort to try and make it 4 titles in a row. It is now 4 titles in a row heading to New Zealand, can someone from another country stop this dominance next season? We shall find out from the end of January when the next edition begins.
