If someone has selected your quiz as part of their Quiz List, and since you don't get credit for taking your own quizzes, I gather that you will never be able to win the trophy for that particular list?

Why not?

If you wrote the quiz, you'll get the credit. It takes tons more time to write a quiz and have someone select it for a list than it does to play.

You certainly can - I was involved as a writer of quizzes in several of the lists I have claimed. As in a number of the other badges and games, you have a head start because it is credited to you immediately. You see this if you try to claim the list - the ones you wrote are shown as meeting the requirement, while any not yet played or with too low a score have their own display.

But it doesn't turn green in the listing, and there is no indication when you have taken your own quiz.

Try claiming the list - then you will see it ticked.

Oh, okay, I see what you mean. It's in the list when you claim the trophy. "Credit given" it says. smile Very nice. Thanks.

I have pinned a few lists to a shortcut, but I don't see where to find them?

I can see my pinned lists on the left-hand side of the homepage in the section marked 'Pinned Items'.

It looks like that bit isn't there though if you don't have either the 'standard' or 'compact' homepage layout selected. I'm not sure where you'd see them in that case.

Ah, thank you, I see them when I switch to those formats. I prefer the Daily/Hourly option, but I guess I'll have to switch once in a while if I want to check those.

If you want to keep your home page the way it is, pinned items also show up on the Gold Member Central page.

Thank you, DireWolf. I still prefer the Daily/Hourly option, but you gave me the idea to put the Gold Member page on to "My Favorites" bar. It'll be easier to check it that way than to change the format and then change it back.

Up until I started click on different homepage options, I still had my favorite links displayed across the top of the page. That is how I remember to play in the KO and do my Daily Challenges. I don't know what I have done, but now they are only visible as a dropdown list. I know I probably can train myself to remember to look at it, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having a reminder in caps on the top of the page to do things if I have to open the list to see it. Is there any way I can restore my favorites bar to display at the top of my home page?

Thanks,

Sue

Nevermind, I just found it in the Announcements. You can go to the Gold Member Section, and then change the favorites bar from a pulldown menu back to the top of the page alignment by pressing change. I thought that was to edit the toolbar contents, but it actually converts it to the top of the page display. Yippee!!
