As someone on a team with only 3 regular players (and only 4 who've played in the last month or so), I think this is a great idea. I'm less than 100K from the badge for a million team points but have been stuck there for about a year. I don't want to leave my teammates, so this will help me make slow progress towards the badge (which is better than I'm doing now).
