Player Chavs alerted me that one of my quizzes has strayed outside Fun Trivia.
https://doyouremember.com/49536/well-know-love-boat has copied all of my quiz http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?id=362656, after deleting one of the red herrings.

I suppose this is quite contrary to FT copyrights.

Terry would have to pursue that one in person. I checked that company's site and they seem to be hiding behind the DMCA as the only way to make a copyright complaint (which has extensive red tape requirements to file).

I have sent them a note. Hopefully they are reasonable and remove it with just my message.

Well, that was easy: they took down the quiz minutes after I emailed them.

It's nice to see that responsible web publishing is still alive out there in some places.

I went to their main page - there's a whole bunch of quizzes under the games tab. I've just found two more that belong to our members without having to really even try that hard.

I have seen the following website--GameBoomers--using FT quizzes before. today's "brain twist" quiz is on this website, which also has some features that look EXACTLY like FT features::

http://www.gameboomers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/891116/Re:_Palindromes.

here is the quiz, as it appears on the site:

#891108 - 05/31/13 02:40 AM Palindromes.

If you suffer from aibohphobia, I would recommend that you don't take this quiz. You will find out why... Good luck!

-1. If you suffer from aibohphobia, you fear palindromes. Which palindrome describes a human-powered little boat?

-2.One very known palindrome is one that speaks about "a man, a plan, a canal," and a Latin American nation. Which nation is it?

-3.The next palindrome goes like this: "A car, a man, a ______". Which word, which happens to be a Latin American percussion instrument, is missing?

-4.Here's another palindrome: "Rise to _____, sir". Which word, a synonym of elect, is missing?

-5.How would you call a vehicle designed to compete in Formula 1? 7 letters

-6.What is a palindrome you would use to politely address a woman?

-7.Who is introducing himself in this palindrome? "Madam, I'm _____".

-8.How would you describe the place you work out in, which is also called a health club? 2 words, 2 and 3 letters

-9.This next palindrome may question your eyesight. "Was it a car or a FELINE I saw?". Which word replaces FELINE in order to make the phrase a palindrome?

10.The next palindrome is the name of someone who was a Cambodian Prime Minister. The name sounds like the trade name for a benzydamine cream in Mexico.

That site is a regular user of FT Brain Teasers. I have been taken there more than once when trying to work one out. Curly lifts the questions, then players on the site usually manage to work out even the most obscure puzzler.

Ah, but are they allowed to be a regular user of FT Brain Teasers?

I complained to the site when I found one of my own quizzes on there and was told it wouldn't happen again. I haven't checked recently, but I hope the ones still on there are from a couple of years or more ago. The did tell me that Curly had been warned not to copy from here again.

Thanks Rossian. It's annoying.

As for the doyouremember site, if you have specific examples of copied quizzes please let me know and I'll contact the webmaster who removed the last one.
