Hi, Sue. For me, it depends on how many points I need. If I need a lot, my preferred method is to just play hourlies, mixed, quiz mode, whatever until I happen to get the final digit to either match or be off by five - and this is assuming my Twin is no longer playing.
More difficult, but I have done it twice and it was actually easier than I thought - although I still like some leeway for flubbing up the first time or two. This is the method details on that thread which I don't remember either. I copied it a while back and kept it on a notepad for reference. Thank you very much to whoever posted it (this may even be a combination of two separate posts):
" It's really easy once you get used to it. Basically:
(# of points you want) x 6 = (score to get in topic mash quiz)
To tweak points with topic mash quizzes, just take the number of points you need (say 2 points for a twin challenge), and multiply it by 6. 2 x 6 = 12, so 12 points is your goal in a mash quiz.
It means a lot of clicking wrong answers or waiting for the timer to run out on questions you're not sure of. It's easy but tedious."
I don't even actually really understand that, but it did work for me, so it must have sunk in somehow for me. Good luck!
