Once again the first six played out a perfect rendition of musical chairs; for the 3rd straight week. They're now separated by 3 pts (it was 2 pts in each of the previous two rounds). None of the first six lost their game and, at the other end, none of the bottom five won theirs.
From there there's a gap of 3 pts to five players who are separated by 2 pts.
The winner of this comp should come form those eleven players, as 12th place is now 10 points behind srini701, who returns to the top of the pile. One more round and we'll complete 20 of the 30 rounds in the FT-PL comp, aka as we'll be 2/3rds of the way through the season.

paper_aero is our new leader (he's the defending titleholder). The last time he occupied that spot was back at the start of the season, in week one.
LeoDaVinci continues his drive to get off the bottom rung. Another win (vs. last week's leader, srini701), makes it 3 wins in the last 5 games. Before that he had 3 wins in 15 games.
N-Bomb is undefeated in thirteen and paper_aero is undefeated in twelve .. srini701's undefeated streak of eight came to an end with his loss to LeoDaVinci. The all-time undefeated record is 18 games, set by N-Bomb in 2016-17. Next best is 14 games undefeated, set by Sypher some 13 yrs ago in 2005-06 and equalled by paper_aero in 2016-17 .. dg_dave won, to end his win-less streak at eight.

Once again the first four played out a perfect rendition of musical chairs .. for the fifth straight week. The lead has now change ten times this season .. and five times in the last five weeks!
The first seven are now separated by 5 pts. From there we have a gap of 2 pts to eight players, who are also separated by 5 pts. That leaves LeoDaVinci 6 pts adrift at the rear of the field.
N-Bomb extended his undefeated run to fourteen .. paper_aero was beaten by George95, which ended his undefeated streak at twelve. The FT-PL Record Book will be updated for this record breaking run by N-Bomb when it ends. Fifiona81 is now win-less in seven.

Once again the first four played out a perfect rendition of musical chairs .. for the sixth straight week. We've now had eleven lead changes this season .. and six of them were in the last six weeks.
N-Bomb is our new leader .. he's the 7th different person to have a go out front.
The first six are now separated by a mere 3 points (that's one win). It was 4 pts last week. LeoDaVinci won his 3rd game in four weeks and is now just 3 pts adrfit of the field.
N-Bomb extends his undefeated run to 15 games. He's three shy of the all-time record of 18 games set in 2016-17, which was set by .. N-Bomb! He was running 2nd last and 9 pts behind the then leader ElfTwinkle, when he started this run; back in Round 7. Fifiona81 is now win-less in eight and Howie72 is win-less in four.

N-Bomb retains his lead out front solo, ending a run of ten straight weeks where the lead from one week to the next was not identical (be it solo or jointly).
N-Bomb won again to extend his record-breaking undefeated run to 19 games. Dizart is now undefeated in six, ElfTwinkle is win-less in six and toocool4u has lost four straight.
With just four rounds remaining, the first six are now separated by seven points (it was 6 pts last week). It now looks like the first two will do battle for the gold medal and one of the next four runners will collect bronze. At the other end, either dg_dave or LeoDaVinci will collect the end-of-season wooden spoon award.

N-Bomb retains his lead out front solo. He won again to extend his record-breaking undefeated run to 20 games. Dizart is undefeated in seven and ElfTwinkle is win-less in seven.
PaulE has now won three straight (to make it seven wins in nine) and moves up into 3rd place, replacing srini701. Before this run, PaulE had won just five of twenty!

N-Bomb was beaten by paper_aero, which ended his undefeated run at 20 games: the FT-PL Record Book has been updated (see post above this one). He's replaced out front by Dizart, who's now undefeated in eight.
ElfTwinkle won, to end her win-less streak at seven .. dg_dave is win-less in seven and toocool4u is win-less in six.
paper_aero & gtho4 join PaulE to make it a three-way tie for 3rd place .. srini701 is one point in arrears in 6th place. The first six are 4 pts ahead of the rest of the field (it was 5 pts last week).
With just two rounds remaining, the three medallists should come from within these six. There are two games between the first six over the remaining two rounds:
R29 : 5th v 2nd : PaulE v N-Bomb
R30 : 6th v 1st : srini701 v Dizart
At the other end, the three at the rear continue their battle for the end-of-season wooden spoon. Everyone else is a safe; they have sufficient points to avoid finishing the season in last place.

The second last round has been and gone and still we don't know the identity of the winner. This comp will go down to the wire.
Dizart lost, which ends his undefeated run at eight. N-Bomb won and the two front-runners once again swap places out front. One of them will win this comp; and it won't be decided until the final round next week. No-one else can win gold.
The next four players are separated by a mere 2 pts .. and only one of them will finish on the podium.
dg_dave is win-less in eight, toocool4u is win-less in seven, gtho4 is undefeated in seven and ozzz2002 in undefeated in six.
As fate would have it, the FT-PL draw at the start of the comp, nine months ago way back in August 2018, has thrown up this game in the last round. The medals and podium spots could be decided by this match-up:
3rd v 2nd : srini701 v Dizart
If srini701 wins by two goals he'll snatch silver from Dizart, who'll collect the bronze medal .. which will leave N-Bomb as the winner no matter happens in his last match (aka be it a win, loss or draw).
At the other end, George95 won to pull away from the other two tail-enders, leaving LeoDaVinci and dg_dave to continue the battle for the end-of-season wooden spoon; and dg_dave's last match is against N-Bomb!

All medals were decided in the final round .. 13 of 16 lodged picks and three went AWOL. N-Bomb won his final match and collects gold by a comfortable margin of 5 points .. srini701 beat Dizart, which saw them finish in a dead-heat for second place. Dizart collected the silver medal on GD .. gtho4 and paper_aero dead-heated for 4th place, a mere point in arrears. N-Bomb & paper_aero earnt themselves two entries each in the FT-PL Record Book .. All-Time Records for a season: most goals and fewest defeats (see post below this one). N-Bomb equalled the all-time record for goals scored of 5.96 GPG, which he himself set in 2016-17. PaulE & George95 also earnt themselves two entries: most goals scored and most goals conceded. Single entries were dg_dave, Dizart, gtho4 and LeoDaVinci. The 18-19 comp ended with these streaks: consecutive wins: Sypher (3), undefeated: gtho4 (8), ozzz2002 (6), consecutive losses: toocool4u (3), win-less: dg_dave (9), toocool4u (8). This year's FT-PL tipping comp was the
16th edition (first run in 03-04). The
defending title-holder was paper_aero,
N-Bomb was runner-up and PaulE won
the bronze medal.
We had seven different leaders during
the season (solo on GD; almost half
the field. |

With this win, N-Bomb becomes the first to win this comp three times (2015, 2017 and 2019). Three players have won this twice: gtho4 with back-to-back wins in 2008 & 2009, illiniman14 in 2012 and 2014, then PaulE in 2007 and 2016. That's it for another season. Thank you linesmen & women, thank you ballboys and girls, and thank you to the 16 runners who participated in this round-robin comp.
