dg_dave is this week's winner with 7/12 which, with three bonus points, sees him rocket up the table into third place. He's now a mere 2 pts behind paper_aero and Dizart, who are still separated by a single point. The five behind them are separated by two pts.

Once again we had just one weekly winner and one wooden spoon.

For the 8th time in nine weeks, we had just one wooden spoon. ElfTwinkle collected her second spoon in five wks. We still have two players with no weekly wins & no spoons: Howie72 & gtho4.

George95 scored two bonus pts for two outrageous solo picks: QPR to lose at home to Norwich and Stoke to lose at home to Blackburn .. ditto dg_dave, who picked Villa to lose at home to Wednesday for his solo bonus.

Leeds United were undefeated and playing at home against win-less Birmingham, but somehow manage to lose. No one picked this result. Once again Ipswich failed to win and remain the only win-less team.

Seven of the 12 games ended in a draw! No-one jagged a bonus point for having seven draws in their 12 picks. ElfTwinkle came closest with five.

toocool4u is this week's winner with 8/12 which, with a bonus point for the solo weekly win, sees him move to within 3 points of the podium. At the other end ozzz2002 collected the wooden spoon with a big fat zero, a humungous 0/12.

With that effort ozzz2002 becomes the first person to score 0/12 three times, since the FLC comp started 12 years ago in 2006-07. He's been short listed to receive a gong from Her Majesty, when the next lot of knighthoods are awarded.

Dizart has replaced paper_aero at the top of the pile. They've been joined by dg_dave. A single point now separates the first three. Five weeks ago paper_aero had 6 pt margin out front.

Once again seven of the 12 games ended in a draw! No-one jagged a bonus point for having seven draws in their 12 picks. Dizart came closest with five.

Howie72 is this round's winner with 6/12, his 1st for the season. At the other end Sypher collected his first wooden spoon with a mere 1/12 .. which brings to fruition his thoughts on the FLC:
This league is soo unpredictable which btw is spot on.

There's no change out front. Dizart retains the lead and his 1 pt margin over dg_dave, who moves into second place solo ahead of paper_aero. The three out front are now 5 pts ahead of the peloton (it was 3 pts last week).

Once again we had just one weekly winner and, for the 10th time in 11 weeks, we had just one wooden spoon. The win by Howie72 leaves gtho4 as the only player with zero wins and zero spoons.

Last week WBA replaced Leeds at the top of the pile. This week Sheffield United (who've now won three straight) replaced WBA out front. Ipswich again failed to win and remain win-less after 11 rounds.

For the first time this season we had 5 away wins, which knocked the stuffing out of most of us. N-Bomb, the defending titleholder, was the only one to score > 50% correct picks, with 7/12.

Two of those 7 were solo picks and he scored another bonus for winning the round solo, for a grand total of 10 pts. He jumped up four places in the standings from 8th to 4th, to land a mere 2 pts off the podium (he was 8 pts adrift last week).

dg_dave replaced Dizart at the top of the pile, to become the 4th different player to have a go at leading. Dizart collected his first wooden spoon with picks of 2/12.

Five players jagged a bonus pt for having just two draws in their 12 picks. For the 10th straight week we once again had just one weekly winner .. gtho4 is the only player with zero wins and zero spoons.

Ipswich Town finally won a game, at their 12th attempt; and they did it in style. They beat Swansea away. No-one picked this result, but dg_dave collected a bonus point by somehow picking a draw.

Two of those six were solo picks; he scored another two bonus pts for near misses plus yet another one for winning the round solo, for a grand total of 11 pts. He jumped up four places from 13th to 9th. He joins our leader, dg_dave, as the only players in double digits for bonus points.

The collection of 5 bonus pts in one week also earnt him a place in the FLC Record Book (see post below).

A round of upsets saw toocool4u caught in the cross-fire. He collected the wooden spoon with 0/12 and a place in the FLC Record Book. Between us we had a strike rate of 23.3%, which is yet another addition to the FLC Record Book.

dg_dave extends his lead out front to 3 pts and N-Bomb is now on the podium in equal 3rd place.

WBA (7), Forest (6) and Sheff United (5) all saw their undefeated runs come to an end. Out of 24 teams in the FLC there's only one team with consecutive wins, Blackburn Rovers .. and no team has consecutive losses! As Sypher said (see last week's post), the FLC is simply unpredictable

N-Bomb is this week's winner with 8/12. He retains 3rd place behind the two out front, dg_dave and paper-aero, who both collected a wooden spoon (their first spoons for the season).

This was his 2nd win in three weeks. Four weeks ago N-Bomb, the defending titleholder, he was back in 8th place some 10 pts behind the leader. He's more than halved it in three wks, down tor4 pts. It'll be a three-peat if he wins this comp!

Last year's runner-up, ozzz2002, was caught by N-Bomb at the post in the last round and lost out on a countback. This year he's bringing up the rear. Bronze medallist, paper_aero, finished 4 pts in arrears. He's running second this year behind dg_dave, who's in unchartered territory. Last year he finished 2nd last, some 38 pts in arrears.

dg_dave is still leading the way to the finish post. He retains his lead with an unchanged margin of 3 pts.

For the 12th week in-a-row we had a solo weekly winner. Two more blanks in the W.S. column were filled by paper_aero and dg_dave, leaving just three spoonless players. We have still five payers looking for their first win .. and gtho4 is on both lists with zero wins and zero spoons.

There's now a three-way tie at the top of the FLC. Leeds United return to lead, on GD over Middlesbrough and Sheffield United. Just two pts in arrears is another three-way tie, for 4th place: WBA, Derby Co and Norwich City.

Birm City extended their undefeated run to 10 games (next best is four games, by four teams). Last wk no team had consecutive losses. This week we have four with back-to-back wins.

gtho4 Administrator Registered: Sun Dec 26 1999 Posts: 54484 Loc: Sydney oz downunder	yep, that's one of five errors in the TW column. Looks like I copied the LW column for those five, which makes no sense ... All five now fixed.
