As they last so long and are often made locally manhole covers can be something of collector's items (not for me).

Back in 2010, we visited Lancaster County and the Pennsylvania Dutch areas around it.

Back in 2008, our daughter took a semester in France, and we went to visit her around Christmas time. Here's a picture of the Rodin Museum.

A United States Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle of the 492nd Fighter Squadron 'The Mad Hatters' based at RAF Lakenheath captured from Bwlch during this week's visit to 'The Mach Loop' in North Wales.

Travelling at over 600mph and passing (at the closest) within 100 feet, this must be one of the most thrilling experiences I've ever had; the noise is tremendous and the smell of aviation fuel hangs in the air. Unlike an air show display, this is real combat flying training for these young men (and women!!) ... More to follow.

We weren't expecting one of these, a USAF V-22 'Osprey', to turn up; clearly our camera settings were still set up for the fast jets resulting in it looking as if the aircraft is just hanging in the air.

A little bit of propeller blur would've been nice (full disc even better) but it's so rare to see these things flying at the Mach Loop that any clear image is acceptable.

This particular aircraft, 0063, is operated by the 7th Special Operations Squadron based at RAF Mildenhall.
