Driving back from Whitchurch in Hampshire the road became full of smoke, and it was coming from this farm where for unknown reasons they were burning ricks of hay.

A dental surgery in Esher with a horse statue outside. I don't know why. The people on the site said it was straw and probably arson, although no one was trying to put it out at the time. Not that it was possible as it goes up in minutes.

A juggler from the Chinese Lantern Festival, December 2016, Cary NC. We had seen this Festival in January, 2016, and were glad to be able to bring our kids to it when it came back in December.

I got very lucky yesterday. Waiting at traffic lights locally on a main road I spotted this, I've driven past a number of times but never slowly enough to see it. The design copies the weight limits rather than the speed limit signs up to 1964 but they weren't as strict as they are now.

This is 'Tibo', one of a pair of Cheetahs at home in the Dartmoor Zoological Park (The subject of the 2011 film 'I Bought a Zoo'which starred Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson) which is located between the town of Ivybridge and the city of Plymouth here in Devon.

And the pair of them together, Tibo and Baro, compliant with my request to keep still for a few seconds whilst I took their picture (actually it was getting close to feeding time and they had already seen their keeper carrying the bucket containing their dinner!)

Start Point Lighthouse earlier this evening. Start Point is a promontory that projects into the English Channel between the towns of Dartmouth and Kingsbridge in the South Hams area of Devon.
