Drowning kangaroo saved by police on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula
    by Brian Travers | Herald-Sun | 28 October 2018
POLICE have come to the rescue of a kangaroo drowning in the swell on a beach in Victoria.

POLICE have saved a kangaroo from drowning on the Mornington Peninsula. Footage shows the kangaroo bounding into the water at Safety Beach and getting into difficulty in the swell and breaking waves. Police rushed to the scene at about 5pm and dragged the struggling roo out of the water. They carried the unconscious kangaroo onto land before resuscitating it. A local Wildlife Centre is now looking after the kangaroo. The roo is understood to be in good spirits.
