I have a two-part question relating to the ENDURANCE badge.
If, according to the Brain page I finish FIRST but DON'T acquire 30,000 points, I still get the badge?
If, having acquired the badge, I then score 35,001 points, do I move to tier 2? or stay at 1 to make up for the non-30,000 points badge?
I actually may still get to 30,000 today which might make this question moot, BUT maybe there may be others who would like to know.

No. According to the new guidelines, you need 30,000 to get the badge. The Brain page needs to be updated.

After you get your Endurance, you will need 35,000 (on another day) to move to tier 2.

TY postcards. The info about the brain page was helpful. I'd seen the chart in the badge page but the discrepancy that is being updated was what was causing my confusion.

It's now Aug 2019 and the script on the Brains today-so far reads:
"Player in spot 1 is eligible for the endurance badge"
Perhaps this could have a short additional phrase "if they have 30,000 points"

The MOST FUNTRIVIA POINTS TODAY page has the following script:
"The top player will earn the very-difficult-to-get Endurance challenge"
Perhaps the "will" should be changed to MAY!?!? or the short additional phrase could appear on this page as well.
