Check out these 2 very weird situations in Division 20 (my division) for KO this week:
In the Semi-Finals (4 players), 2 of the players playing each other were No-Shows! This was a tie, the person who plays first wins in the event of a tie. Neither one played, and it was determined by time zone! One player lived in the Eastern Time zone, the 2nd player in the Central Time zone. Since the earlier (first) time zone no-showed first, they moved on to the KO Finals. Now, it gets really bizarre...the 2 Finalists Tied with the same score! The one who played first was the Champ!
Bizarre or what???
Hi, there. I was one of the no-shows in the double-no-show round. I believe it has nothing to do with the timezone, however, but rather one's position on the list since we both no-showed at the same time (midnight FT Time). The timezone is irrelevant because midnight FT time is when we are officially a no-show (which is midnight Central and 1am Eastern).
My opponent was listed before me, and so got the privilege of moving on. I don't believe ties go to the player who played first, but to the player who is listed first. (So in the first round, player 7 has an advantage over player 8).
I live in the Eastern time zone, and I did not move on; my opponent in the Central time zone did, because s/he was listed first. If I had been listed above that person, I would have moved on.
Or at least, this is my understanding.

Terry, can you clarify?
