In playing the WW letter game I couldn't help but notice when trying to make something out of nothing and trying any and everything, that some fairly vulgar words come up green in the word checker. I am wondering if there is an official policy on playing obscene words in Word Wizard?
I know it is highly discouraged in Crystal Ball and understandably so where words are posted to a broadcast list of guesses shown on the front page of the game and fairly visible. Most of the violations are clear cut vulgar slang words, often misspelled and clearly just being vulgar for the sake of it and not really attempting to win the game. In the letter game, that would be less definite. For starters the list of recent entries is not so overtly visible and must be sought out, so it could be done with a bit more subtlety. The word would also have to be a legitimate entry to be accepted which would cut much of the chicanery seen in Crystal.
While there is potential there for it to still just be goofing off, on rare occasions it would be tactically advantageous to use a dirty word based on your letter pool where there would not be much else you could play. I did once get a pool of letters where a vulgar word was the best play I could think of but I reluctantly passed on it in the name of doing the right thing. I am now wondering, would it have been within the rules?"
