 MLB 2019 Tipping CompWith spring training in full swing, the MLB 2019 season will begin soon. The rules are as follows: 1. One point for a correct tip. You may tip home or away (there are NO ties in baseball - games go into extra innings to determine a winner, even if they play 18 or more total innings) 2. Deadlines are Friday midnight FT (6am* London, 10:30am India, 3pm* Sydney, 5pm* NZ) with a two hour period of grace, with the exceptions of Sunday games, in which the deadline is midnight Saturday (only in the final week). Stars are noted by places that DO observe daylight saving time. 3. There will be a one point deduction if tips are posted after the grace period. Default will be the higher of six points or Wooden Spoon score, and will be your score if you tip after the first game starts, which will be about 12 hours after deadline. Ex: Wooden Spoon score is seven, default is seven. Wooden Spoon score is five, default is six. Note: We will tip the Saturday games each week, excluding the final day of the season (Sun). The season begins on Thursday, March 28, and we will not tip those games. Bonus points: 1. One bonus point for picking a result solo, or one of two (12 minimum tippers to apply). 2. One bonus point if no more than three games are missed (one or two games may be postponed ( games may be postponed due to weather (rain or snow) in baseball) to earn this point). Three postponements or more do not earn a bonus. (i.e., 10+/13, 11+/14, 12+/15) The previous year's comp will determine next year's eligibility. 3. Tips of all homes or all homes bar one are ineligible for any bonus points. In case of Friday postponements, the FIRST of the Saturday games will be the one counted for our comp, as per MLB rule 4.13f. Sign up here if you are interested. Welcome to the 2019 MLB tipping season! We will have plenty of baseball action over the spring and summer. Trash talking is permitted, provided it stays within FT guidelines; trash talking the Yankees, Angels, and Athletics is all but required...for yet another year!!  You can see who I am a fan of and whom I loathe...if not, you will by season's end. 
The Yankees got beat at the Stadium to start their season, which starts out on a good note for this anti-Yanks fan...can they lose the rest of the way now? Please? Or can we make sure the 'roids are nowhere to be found, since that's how the Roidees win.
No shows this year consist of illiniman14 and yoyoandcigs, however, srini701 returns from a short hiatus.
**A reminder: any inactive tippers will continue to receive default scores weekly. If they are in last place and 2nd last is several points ahead, they will automatically default to the 2nd last score.
Another reminder: games can be postponed due to precipitation, so there may not always be 15 games scored.

Spanishliz doesn't like Atlanta almost as much as she doesn't like the Yankees. Will never pick either one of them That goes the same for the yankROIDs for me. Houston did well and swept out the TRASH that they are.

You moan about me misspelling Dallas Rentboys but you can't spell the greatest team in baseball history properly. Greatest team to do steroids? That would be one and the same...and they play in the Bronx! Also... EVERY results post has it spelled correctly. Question...is Roy Rogers the singing rentboy??? You never answered that during NFL season.

Neither has a certain team based in Arlington and Frisco, Texas...unless that's in Dizart's imagination. Roidees for the cellar!! I'm not the only one that hates those roided up players... Spanishliz doesn't like Atlanta almost as much as she doesn't like the Yankees. Will never pick either one of them Spanishliz is a smart woman for that reason...she hates the Bronx team too. And this weekend...GO CHISOX!!!!

Might as well say that the real New York team played two, as the Mets went 18 with the Brewers.
Still playing a lot of musical chairs, but the music is getting quicker...and fewer places are moving.
More results coming soon...because of so much going on, I have fallen far behind, and I feel bad about it, but there is a wedding to plan!
**A reminder: any inactive tippers will continue to receive default scores weekly. If they are in last place and 2nd last is several points ahead, they will automatically default to the 2nd last score.
Another reminder: games can be postponed due to precipitation, so there may not always be 15 games scored.

The Brewers decided that nine wasn't enough yet again, and played six more this week.
There's a new sheriff in town, as Sypher has vaulted to the top with his weekly win and wwe84's paltry Spoon (for a total of two points - he correctly tipped San Diego and Boston only).
