I am recently finding very little time to do the badge focus, so I'd like to open this up to some volunteers. If you are interested in writing a focus, please send me a personal message (here or on the main site) telling me which badges you'd want to highlight for your entry and a sample text for ONE (only one - don't want you to spend too much time speculatively) of them.

I'd like to have several writers in an ideal case - it adds variety and fresh viewpoints.

You should have at least a few quizzes online to apply and be able to usually get them online with a maximum of one correction. You should also have earned at least 30 or so badges and own most of the ones you want to write about so that you have an idea what's behind them.

Noob question: What is a badge focus? Is it related to the Monthly?

Yes, that's the one. Also, you might want to look up what that line actually means because you've just effectively insulted me by making that prediction about my reaction. Twice to be exact.

To clarify - I am looking for people to write a (recently not-so) monthly feature set.

What exactly is a Badge focus/feature? If it's an idea for a new badge, I'm unsure then what the Monthly component means.

And the one I compiled for November is still there - it's been a long month! I might see if I have another theme idea to submit to Wes.

Does that page need some tweaking? It keeps telling me I haven't completed assorted badges when I completed most ages ago. The current one, for example, has all the green ticks along the side except for the lucky ducky. But each of the individual pages says "You have yet to complete etc.."

Unless of course, they ALL have to have green ticks down the side.

If it hasn't been changed since November and nobody has noticed, it suggests to me that this is something that could be ditched entirely. Solves Wes's problem.

It is also found at the link below on the General Chat board. Some people have noticed it hasn't been updated, Samak, and have made pointed comments about it.

The last comment on that thread is dated Nov 07 18 and the one before that is over a year old so I'm not sure what your point is.

Getting back to the original point, does anyone find the Monthly Feature useful or interesting? I never look at it but maybe others like it.

Its target audience is probably not you! It can usefully make newer players, who don't know their way around the site in all its complexity, aware of things that they might find of interest.
