I may have posted this tower in Primrose Hill before but not this example. My friend lived near the top.

Davy Jones put in an appearance at a pirate fest on the Oregon coast when we visited in 2014. (I especially like the plush octopus gracing his shoulder.)

On my travels to Oakham in Rutland. The enamel sign was white in the box and arrow but is wearing off to show the yellow underneath which is only supposed to show on the border.

Thanks. Phoenix was lovely. However, we also ran into snow and 30 degrees (F) on the trip:

This is Bryce Canyon. It's amazing what 7000-plus feet of altitude will do to a climate!

And then we went to Zion Canyon, which was a nice balance of both - no snow and no cactus:

One of the most ubiquitous signs of the 50s and 60s, the turn left. This is my third but the first which still has its red ring on. Many signs had them for mandatory rules, but this is only the third I've got, all the others had them removed for unknown reasons.

Yesterday afternoon I thought it might be nice to take a trip across the bay on one of the Torquay to Brixham ferries. There had been a pod of dolphins in the bay the day before and this presented a photo opportunity. Sadly, the dolphins didn't show, but this chap did.

On the return trip to Torquay he decided to buzz the boat and show off his jetski tricks... Everything was going so well until he stalled his machine and couldn't get it started again (at least not immediately). Cue howls of raucous and derisory laughter from the packed ferry boat and, once he'd managed to re-start it, he legged it all the way back to Brixham.

Such fun! (as a local comedienne would say)

Classical architecture in Regents Park. This is next to the London Business School and Royal College of Gynaecologists.
