Hi all. I'm in awe of your passion for and knowledge of trivia! I'd appreciate help with the following questions:

1) In which sport are the shoes made entirely of metal?

2) In terms of Presidential elections, what was the unique achievement of Thomas Jefferson?

3) What is the origin of the term "Yankees"?

4) What city in the world has the largest subway system?

5) What percentage of people worldwide have never placed or received a telephone call?

Thanks in advance.

Stacey

) What percentage of people worldwide have never placed or received a telephone call?

I was watching "The Nature of Things" a while ago.
On it, David Suzuki said that technology is amazing etc. etc., but remember, we live in an age when 80% of the world's population have never used a telephone!
fascinating stuff!

I remember a poll about world telephone use. It found that everyone had used a telephone at some point in their life.

Of course, it was a phone poll.
