Yes, March 11, 2019. I reported that in another thread but apparently it didn't get any notice. It's still wrong, people!

Now it's worse! March 2018, Global Challenge #35 has begun. No! No! No! The current Global Challenge is #34 and it started in March 2019. Who is minding the store?

The heading of the current GC is merely informational - it has no bearing on the end result nor on how it will appear in the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame uses the ending date and the round number is referenced only in the filenames.

So it's probably not worth getting all too worried about it.

I'm glad you're keeping track of it, Wes. Truth be told, I don't really care about it all that much. But as another player started this thread, I did chime in to say he was right that the heading was incorrect and that it had been reported earlier. However, the heading was changed after this thread was started (and I don't assume Terry does everything around here; some domains may well belong to other administrators), so if someone was going to take the time to rewrite the heading, I'd think they might want to take a few minutes to make it accurate. It has been changed again to reflect that it started in March 2019 rather than March 2018 as it read a few days ago. However, I'm still fairly certain the current GC run is #34 rather than #35 as MikeMaster99 has a thread here in the Forums to that effect below. But I know Wesley keeps track of that. In any event, if people don't want to worry about it, I certainly won't. But if another player starts a thread here in the Forums stating something they've noticed is inaccurate, I will very likely confirm their observations with a post of my own when I know they were correct in their observations about the inaccuracy, however minor it may be. There are thousands of very bright players here on FT. They aren't imagining things. They can tell when something isn't right and I don't blame them for reporting it when they do, even starting a whole new thread to do so. But yeah, in the big scheme of things, it doesn't matter much. I don't claim that it does.

The current one, #34, has not been 'officially' announced.

This header can only be changed by Terry and I guess the reason it was overlooked in the first place is simply being busy. The new GC started in the middle of some heavy work on various upgrade badges and bugfixes.
