We have a user called [redacted - Wes] who occasionally plays (and always wins) on our private Fun Trivia tournament.

Who the heck is [redacted] and how did he get in. I am the group admin.

Name of the user removed. This kind of public shaming is against our rules. - Wes

If you did not set a tournament password, anyone can join a private tournament as long as they know the address (or just randomly guess an ID number). If your tournament is in the public list, it can be found on Google and also through our lists.

You can delete/ban a user from your private game in the admin tools if you do not want them in.

Also, we have strict rules against public accusations of any kind. If you have a problem that would require you to name the offender, the only place to do so is the "contact us" feature at the bottom of the home page.

Thanks for replying.

Sorry for the mild shaming.

Attempting to send a message to said used says that they can't be found.

User names on the main site (where you could send a message) have nothing to do with those on private tournaments. Each private tournament has its completely own user list and the same name on different tournaments could belong to different people.

If you want that user gone from your tournament, use the admin tools to ban them and then set a tournament password which will prevent signups from anyone who doesn't have that password (it's required just once upon joining, your existing legit members are unaffected)

I'm not really fussed about banning them.
Was just curious as to who the person is.

I can't answer that for you, sorry. It is a player who found your tournament, one way or another, registered and occasionally plays.

Due to various privacy obligatons, we keep very little data about the private tournament registrations, so those who run one will just have to use their own discretion in setting their tournament policies and/or managing their user base.

If you want to contact them, your only real way to do so would be the in-game shoutbox; of course you should be aware that anything posted there is public.
