This is another pointer that summer is on its way to 'The Bay'.
In the last couple of years, more and more of this type of vessel have been visiting Torbay; although what the well-heeled passengers think of our declining town centre is anyones guess.
This is the 'Seabourn Ovation' which is actually categorised as a 'Mega Yacht'. 210 metres in length with a displacement of 40,350gt, it has twelve decks (7 of these fitted out with a total of 266 passenger cabins), has a crew of 330, can accommodate a maximum of 638 passengers and has a cruising speed of 19 knots. The 'Seabourn Ovation' was built in Italy at a cost of 380m USD, lists its home ports as Copenhagen, Stockholm and Lisbon and operates under the flag of the Bahamas.
I'm intrigued as to what our next visitor might be.
