I can think of a reason a quiz list compiler might want to delete a list, and it isn't concern over falling ratings of the quizzes contained therein. I recognize that most quiz lists contain quizzes written by the compiler of the quiz list, but that is not necessarily the case. Gold Members may compile quiz lists that contain quizzes they have not themselves written. I will use myself as an example. I have written 0 quizzes, but I have two quiz lists. Obviously, the quizzes in my two quiz lists were not written by me. I have no idea what has happened to the ratings of the quizzes in my two quiz lists since I created them. I picked easy quizzes for the most part at the time. When I created them, my thinking was: "How can I design these so that people will want to play them?" I wanted them to have exactly 5 quizzes each, because 5 is the minimum needed for being able to get credit for claiming them, and the longer the quiz list is, the less likely I felt that people would want to play it. Also, the quizzes I included were as easy as possible for the theme that matched the titles of my two lists. I felt people would be more likely to play quiz lists of easier quizzes than more difficult ones. But since none of the quizzes in my quiz lists are my own, this did create a worry for me:
What if someday for some reason one of the quizzes in my quiz lists were pulled offline for some reason unknown to me (as I'm not the author)? If that happened, it would be impossible to complete the quiz list while said quiz was offline. Yes, I could delete the offending quiz and replace it with another, but I don't exactly check the status of my quiz lists very often (almost never after the first month, in fact) because I'm not expecting anything to happen. So if something unexpected *did* happen, there would likely be a quiz list that it was impossible to get newly claimed for an indefinite, extended period of time. And, when I finally did find out about it, since I would have no knowledge or control over if and when the quiz that was taken offline could return, to save effort, I might just delete the quiz list.
