I don't know why we can't raise the level under which we nix scores. There are two kinds of teams here: Teams that care only about final daily average and thus discourage plays that will hurt the team and then there are teams that allow everyone to play regardless of how badly they will hurt the team. And yet we've always excluded scores below 200 in the event that technical error was involved. But this disadvantages teams like mine that have a welcoming attitude toward low scorers. Frankly I can't exclude that sabotage may be involved. Some scores that I see are frankly just so ridiculous it's hard to imagine that they can be legitimate. We all have bad days. But bad months, bad years? How can a person play day in and day out for years and not be able to crack 400 on TvT? I'm not trying to bring judgment upon anyone but frankly I don't know why we can't raise the 200, and at least leave the game open to people who are pursuing badges and team points or just trying to better their game. It doesn't change the character of the game. For instance Heroes eliminates all scores below the 7th best player for the day (5th for small teams). In many cases, if this score was raised to say 350, most teams won't even have a single score in a day that would qualify to be excluded under such a rule change. But it would at least be there to mitigate the extent of damage that could be done by a single bad player. Such a rule is virtuous I believe, because it will not hurt teams in the first category and may make teams in the second category a little more competitive.

Surely you're not suggesting that players on a team deliberately score poorly to sabotage their team's standings? What would the motivation for such a thing as that be? Why hurt your own team? Because you dislike them? Then leave and go to another team. Because they are acting as a sort of "mole" for another team? I find that difficult to believe. Now, I will admit that it does seem very unlikely that a player could play TvT daily for years without breaking a score of 400. Silly me! Such players actually exist? Honestly, if my track record in *any* game was that poor I would quit it after a couple of weeks at most. Why would someone play any game so badly for so long?

Actually if those low scores are caused by long times, the player may not even notice what is happening. Some browsers or add-one cause links to preload, that is when you visit a page, it will go through links in the background and load any linked pages so they will show up faster. In the case of a game title page, that however means that it will start the game timer (the server sees the game being loaded) even if the player doesn't actually plan to play. The player may then several minutes or even hours later actually play, only to get a huge time and thus bad score.
