Some how I've been reading a lot of these books with strong, dominant, kickbutt heroines who fight crime and the bad guys yet are still fragile inside (you & the bad guys aren't supposed to pick up on this, it's the resident hottie that's supposed to see thru her tough exterior). You weren't supposed to notice that part. lol Is this a new trend? I can't keep track of them all.

aaaagh!

I'm a sucker for:
J.D. Robb's In Death series (Eve Dallas)
Laurell K. Hamilton's Vampire Hunter series (Anita Blake) and her new fairy series (Merry Gentry)
Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series (Sookie Stackhouse) the name alone is worth a smile
I know there are others:
Janet Evanovich's bounty hunter series (Stephanie Plum) --I don't like this one, maybe they're all starting to look the same at this point, oh the horror!
Why is this? Better yet, I should be asking myself why I'm a sucker for these types of books. I luv how they kick butt and figure things out. Even more, I love how they're still full of faults. I hate to read a book with an idealized character.
