The roof of Wanborough Great Barn, Wanborough, Surrey. It was built in 1388 by the Cistercian monks of Waverley Abbey (5 miles away - building now in ruins). I think the lights in the roof will be a much later addition.

As I was searching the internet another one turned up in the East Midlands, it's the only one I've seen left in the country. The other reason is the usual sign was a picture of a cow with cattle under it, this is a rare alternative.

We can't afford artists to draw cows up here! You're lucky if you can find people who know how to write.
