George95 is our defending champion from last year. wwe84, PaulE, and gtho4 won the 3 other majors this year.

The Rules
1. Everyone will pick 5 golfers.

2. We may have a maximum of 2 golfers from the top 10 of world rankings as of July 15, 2019 in our fivesomes. The current top 10 is:

1 Brooks Koepka
2 Dustin Johnson
3 Rory McIlroy
4 Justin Rose
5 Tiger Woods
6 Bryson DeChambeau
7 Francesco Molinari
8 Jon Rahm
9 Justin Thomas
10 Patrick Cantlay

3. The lowest 4 total scores from each tipper’s fivesome will be added together to make the final score, and the lowest total score wins.

4. If one of your golfers fails to make the cut, his score from the first two rounds will be doubled to account for his final two rounds.
-A golfer must finish the first two rounds in order for his score to be counted towards the total

Tiebreaker
The lowest score from each tipper’s fifth golfer will serve as the tiebreaker. Should that be the same, it will go to the fourth-highest score and so on.

Shane Lowry was in blazing form over the 4 days of the weekend, as he blitzed his way to to a massive -15 total over four days and won his First major title by a whopping 6 strokes! Lowry’s six-stroke victory over Tommy Fleetwood means he becomes just the fourth player in the last 50 years – after Rory McIlroy, Louis Oosthuizen and Tiger Woods – to clinch his first Major by more than five shots.

Dizart was in even more blazing form in our comp- here, blitzing his way to a 8 stroke win...as massive as they come! George95 was a very respectable second, himself a huge 7 strokes ahead of 3rd placed srini701....we needed a tie-break only to separate Sypher and ozzz2002 in our standings.

For the first time in the last 2-3 years, we had as many as 8 of our picks missing the cut...11 of us had picked 28 golfers between ourselves. There were some BIG names in those missing the cut, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott...

ozzz2002 found an innovative way to name his squad, but with 3 of his players lost in the "woods", his strategy probably didn't come off

This completes the Golf part of our tipping competitons for 2019. We shall assemble again in the greens only April 2020. Thank you all till then
