Wigan beat Forest to end their ten-match unbeaten run. Forest dropped from equal 1st down to 4th place. Three players picked this upset. WBA won away at Middlesbrough and are now leading solo. Leeds move up in to 2nd place with a dour 1-0 win in front of their biggest home crowd of the season .. the club celebrated the 100th anniversary of their formation in 1919, when Leeds City (formed 1904) were booted out of the Football League for irregular payments. eh? I didn't understand N-Bomb's 3 bonus points.... sole weekly win is fine, and maybe he should get a solo pick bonus as well, but he picked 0 draws, and extra bonus is for 9/12 or better...shouldn't he get 2 bonus points this week?

Wigan beat Forest to end their ten-match unbeaten run. Forest dropped from equal 1st down to 4th place. Three players picked this upset. WBA won away at Middlesbrough and are now leading solo. Leeds move up in to 2nd place with a dour 1-0 win in front of their biggest home crowd of the season .. the club celebrated the 100th anniversary of their formation in 1919, when Leeds City (formed 1904) were booted out of the Football League for irregular payments. They have the best defensive record in the FLC but are having difficulties finding the back of the net. The spread 1st to 5th is a mere 3 pts, ditto 6th to 10th place.

Barnsley failed to win yet again, which extended their win-less streak to 15 games. They've climbed off the bottom rung with a draw, replaced by Stoke City, who lost their third consecutive game. Huddersfield Town are undefeated in seven and WBA are undefeated in five. Middlesbrough, who remain 3rd last, are now win-less in eight.

In a ominous sign, N-Bomb scores his 3rd straight weekly win (and his 4th in five weeks), to climb into 1st place. He's our 6th different leader for the season.
srini701 stepped a side to let N-Bomb through into first place, being the true gentleman that he is. The alternative was particularly inviting: stand his ground and be trampled to death by a freight train. The first three are now separated by a mere point.
LeoDaVinci was the other weekly winner. He jumps up into 4th place, just 2 points behind the pack of three .. and the five players running 4th to 8th are separated by just 2 pts. Behind the leading eight, the remaining seven runners are covered by a 13 pts spread.

We had one winner and one wooden spoon this week, which means the number of weekly wins for the season and the number of spoons remain identical.
We're continuing to spread apart. Last week the first three were separated by 5 points (it was just one point the week before). It's now 6 points. The five players behind them running 4th to 8th are now separated by 5 pts (it was 4 points last week and a mere 2pts the week before). The remaining seven runners are covered by an 18 pt spread (it was 15 points last week and 13 points the week before).

Barnsley lost once again, which extends their win-less streak to 17 games (their only win was on day one when they upset Fulham). They remain on the bottom rung of the table and remain 5 pts of Stoke City, who also lost. Middlesbrough finally won a game (they beat Barnsley 1-0 at home) and thus ended their win-less streak at ten .. this win sees them climb out of the relegation zone.
Luton Town also climbed out of the relegation zone, by beating Charlton Athletic .. this ended a run of five straight losses. Wigan Athletic are now win-less in six and drop down to join Stoke City and Barnsley in the three relegation spots.
WBA and Leeds United are threatening to run away with this and make it a two-horse race .. they've put 5 pts between themselves and the peloton. WBA are now undefeated in eight and retain first place. Leeds United are undefeated in seven (both of them won again to make it four straight).
