Latest rumour is a restart on Saturday 20th June, play 9 rounds in four weeks, and end on Saturday Saturday 18th July. Championship clubs have targeted a return to action on Saturday, June 20, according to the Daily Express. And that could mean they could return before the Premier League, with top-flight managers seeking a full month's training before resuming matches. EFL clubs need to finish by July 31 as that is when up to 40 per cent of players' contracts are due to expire. Clubs have agreed to rush through the remaining nine games of the programme in five Saturdays and four midweek slots to finish on July 18 – leaving just enough time to complete the play-offs.

All clubs in the EFL are meeting on Monday 8th June to fix a restart date. A majority of 51% is required for a decision e.g. if 51% vote against a restart, the season will end and pts earnt so far will determine promotion and relegation. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/championship

Between us we averaged a pitiful strike rate of 22.4% and an entry in the FLC Record Book (see post below this one). This is the 14th season we've had an FLC comp and after 630 or so rounds of picks we've had a mere four rounds with a lower strike rate. The lowest 21 strike rates are in the FLC Record Book .. four of those 21 have been this season!
This round's winners were Sypher & wwe84 with a paltry 4/12, which equals the all-time low score for a weekly win in the FLC comp. Before this weekend, it has been achieved just four times in 14 seasons. The wooden spoon goes to gtho4 solo, with humungous picks of 1/12.
The three-month break did not agree with a lot of teams. Fulham were undefeated in 11 .. they lost at home. N-Bomb and LeoDaVinci picked this result. Leeds United were undefeated in six (their last five were 1-0 clean sheets); they lost as well. PaulE and ozzz2002 picked this one. QPR were undefeated in six and lost at home to cellar-dwellers Barnsley .. no-one picked this result, but toocool4u scored a bonus point for picking a draw.
On the other hand, Hull City were win-less in 11 (lost the last four) and lost at home to Charlton Athletic (who'd lost the last three). No-one picked it. Three players scored a bonus point for picking a draw.
wwe84 joins LeoDaVinci out front, with paper_aero slipping back to third, a mere point in arrears. The three leaders have now put 6 pts between themselves and the rest of us, with just 8 rounds remaining.

Brentford won again to make it four straight wins. They're still 5 pts behind WBA.

LeoDaVinci is this week's winner. It's his 3rd win in 8 weeks and he's now a humungous 9 pts clear of paper_aero in 2nd place. With just four rounds left, this looks like a gold-medal winning margin.
Scroll back to Round 29, in the 2nd half of January, and you'll find LeoDaVinci was 7th, some 12 points behind the leader paper_aero. He's now not only on the top rung of the ladder, he's also put 9 pts between himself & paper_aero. That's a worth-watering 21 pt turn-around in 12 rounds!
paper-aero has extended his margin back to third from 5 pts to 6 pts. This will probably be enough to score a silver medal .. and behind him the four running 3d to 6th continue their battle for bronze (they're still separated by a mere 3 pts.
Last week toocool4u collected a wooden spoon, as a follow-up to the previous week's win. Howie72, last week's winner, has emulated that feat by collecting one of this week's four wooden spoons.
Once again the four teams out front all won: Leeds United (16), WBA (2), Brentford (73) and Fulham (1) all won .. they retain those four positions for the 3rd straight round (the number in brackets is how many years since they played in the FAPL or its predecessor, Division One. Brentford finished 2nd last in 1946-47 and were relegated and, some 73 years later, they're still waiting to return. They went down with Leeds United, who finished stone cold motherless last.

Welcome to the LeoDaVinci show: he's this week's winner, again. It's his 4th win in 9 weeks and he's now an outrageous 11 points clear of paper_aero in 2nd place. With just three rounds left, this is surely all over. The fat lady has started singing.
LeoDaVinci is on a roll. Go back to R29, towards the end of January, and you'll find LeoDaVinci was 7th, some 12 points behind the leader paper_aero. He's now on the top rung of the ladder, 11 points clear. That's a worth-watering 23 point turn-around in 13 rounds. But wait, there's more. Scroll up a mere four rounds to R39 and we had wwe84 and LeoDaVinci in a dead-heat out front: wwe84 is now 21 points in arrears. The rest of us haven't faired much better. We've also been belted from pillar to post.
LeoDaVinci has certainly hit a sweet spot with his weekly picks.
paper_aero has again, for the 3rd straight week, extended his margin back to 3rd from 5 pts to 6 pts to 7 pts. Is that margin enough to hold off the fast-finishing N-Bomb over the last three rounds?
The three players in equal 4th place behind N-Bomb are 10 pts behind paper_aero, which should be enough for the first three to finish on the podium in R46.
WBA were held to a draw, which allowed Leeds to skip away to a 3 pt lead and Brentford to cut the deficit behind them to 3 points. Fulham remain 4th a further 2 pts in arrears.

This week's winner is toocool4u with 9/12 .. it's his third win in six weeks! He collected a bonus point for a (near) perfect win, another one for a solo pick and yet another one for a solo weekly win.
The other bonus point was scored by paper_aero, who went for the doctor with *six* draws in his picks; and six of the 12 games ended in a draw!
Dizart collected this week's wooden spoon with 3/12.
N-Bomb is still spoon-less after 44 weeks. His last spoon was in week 36 of last year's comp, which makes it a 54-week spoonless streak. He has the most weekly wins (he's the only one in double figures) and the best countback figures at +11.
LeoDaVinci is next best at +8 and these two are a country mile in front of the rest's countback figures. In fact only two other players have +ve countback numbers!
LeoDaVinci is still top of the pile. His margin has been reduced from 11 points to 9 pts and, with just two rounds left, it has to be a gold medal winning lead; and paper_aero has surely wrapped up the silver medal, as he's now 10 pts in front of N-Bomb. This was the 4th straight week that he extended his margin back to 3rd: from 5 to 6 to 7 to 10 points.
N-Bomb is still 3 points ahead of Howie72 and wwe84 .. one of these three will collect the bronze medal in two weeks.
WBA were again held to a draw, which allowed Leeds to extend their lead from 3 pts to 5 pts and Brentford to again cut the deficit behind them, from 3 pts to 1 pt. Brentford have now won 8 straight. Fulham remain 4th a further 4 points in arrears; and will finish the season no lower than 4th as their margin back to 5th is now out to 7 pts.
Leeds need a point from their last two games to finish 1st or 2nd (and promotion to the FAPL) and WBA need to win both, to leave Brentford to navigate through the play-offs in 3rd place. Cardiff are in 6th place (the 4th play-off spot) but there are five other teams 6 points or less behind them.

This week's winner is N-Bomb with 7/12. It's his 12th weekly win for the season; and he's still spoonless! He collected a bonus point for a solo weekly win. He extends his spoon-less streak to 55 wks.
Dizart collected back-to-back wooden spoons to make it 4 in 7 wks. Howie72 and srini701 collected the other two spoons. It was spoon three in 7 weeks for Howie72.
LeoDaVinci is now 10 pts in front of paper_aero who, in turn, is 7 pts in front of N-Bomb in third place. Barring a collapse by either in the last round, gold and silver has been decided.
N-Bomb extends his lead over wwe84 in 4th place from 3 pts to 4 pts, which should be enough to win bronze, even if wwe84 can make up a 4 pt difference in the last round, due to his better countback figures (at +12 vs. -10) .. wwe84 needs a 5 pt differential in the last round to finish on the podium. Leeds United are back in the FA Premier League after 16 long years downstairs. They were promoted on Friday night when WBA lost (as only Brentford could get past them). Then, on Saturday, Brentford lost (having won eight straight), which saw Leeds win the FLC title without kicking a ball. They last won the FLC (then Division Two) 30 yrs ago in 1990 which, coincidentally, was the last time Liverpool were crowned champions of England .. aka 2020 has become a repeat of 1990.
The second automatic-promotion spot behind Leeds (who now have 90 points) will go to either WBA (82 pts), Brentford (81) or Fulham (80).

The 46 lap marathon has ended. The podium was decided five weeks ago back in week 42 (aka there was no change in the first three spots for the fifth straight week). LeoDaVinci won his first-ever gold medal, in his first-ever podium finish, paper_aero collected the silver medal in his sixth podium appearance (three of the six were gold), and N-Bomb collected bronze in his 4th podium appearance (he's won this twice).
The defending titleholder was gtho4, Sypher won last year's silver medal and Dizart won bronze.
wwe84 scored 42 bonus pts, which is remarkable as solo bonuses have been harder to come by for the last 3 seasons (previously one of two). He earnt himself an entry into the FLC Record Book. It's been five yrs since anyone has been added to that section of the Record Book. He also collected the most spoons for the season .. those two feats might be related. He won both of those categories last year as well.
N-Bomb finished the season spoon-less. His streak, which is now at 56 wks, will continue into the next season. He also finished with the best countback figures.
In a dramatic last round, WBA came from behind to draw at home to QPR but hung onto the second promotion spot behind Leeds United, as Brentford lost again. Barnsley scored the winner in stoppage time to avoid relegation; and send Brentford to the play offs. Nottingham Forest needed a point to retain their play-off spot, or avoid a big loss. Swansea had to win big and Forest had to lose big, for Swansea to go into the play-offs (their GD was only +6):

Nottingham Forest lost 1-4, at home, and Reading lost at home to Swansea 1-4, which was enough to knock Forest out of the play-offs.
