League D will show up once we have a day's worth of scores. A League D team isn't listed if it doesn't have any league activity or score (there are thousands of inactive teams), so on the 1st, that league will always seem empty.

I'm not able to find the drop down for GM Madness on the Team Stats for Oct. The other games have it, but not GMM.

Agree, I noticed it as well when GMM was on League B in Sept. as well. May be a glitch in that game display.

For "hourly" games that have sessions that spans across two FunTrivia days (e.g. Gold Member Madness or Fill Me In), on which day does a player's score get counted for the purposes of TvT? Is it the actual day on which the game is played, or is it on the day when the scores are tallied?

For example, a Gold Member Madness session begins at 11pm FT Time. If a player plays it on Monday 11:30pm FTT, does the score count for Monday or for Tuesday when the session ends at 5am FTT?

Now that I've actually written this down, it sounds like the logical choice would be the actual day on which an individual player plays the game (so in the example, Monday). Can Terry or Wesley confirm this? Thanks!

I don't see how it could be counted until the game has ended and been scored. That is my assumption. It applies to hourly games that finish at a time other than the hour, too, such as Piece of Cake, Mixed, etc.

Well unless I am reading the scoring wrong...TvT scoring for hourlies does not rely on your ranking within the hour, just the numeric game score, so it should not need to wait for a final hourly tally to count a result

Also seems like scoring could obviously be carried over to the next day but not back. It seems the daily TvT tally would be finalized for...lets say Piece of Cake...by 12:25 a.m. and no way to apply a result from a play at that time to the previous day.

It seems a little strange that in theory...you could have 25 hours worth of results count toward a single day of TvT. (In that scenario above...say you push the 11:30-12:29 result forward to the new day..but play the next 24 sets in the early half of the two straddled hours)..but that seems like the way it would work.

So I had an opportunity to easily test out this issue we've been discussing for the last few posts. I didnt get on much yesterday (October 10th) and only got to play a few TvT games just before and after midnight...so no interference from earlier play/ no need to try and remember if/when I had played previously. For all hourly (or 4 hour) games it was either going to show 1 or 0 plays. Here is how it went: (all times are FT time)

Fill Me In: played ~11:30 p.m.(reset time for that set was 12:15 am the next day) 1 play logged on TvT results for Oct. 10
Mixed game: played after 11:45 but before midnight...1 play is logged on TvT team results for Oct. 10
I'm the Expert: played shortly after midnight on Oct. 11 in the set opened at 11:45 on Oct 10. No results reported on the Oct 10 team TvT page. I assume this result is going to show on the Oct 11 report when it generates but I will post here if it happens to fall down a rabbit hole instead.

Hmm...t lhat fill me in play actually didnt show up on the final report for Oct 11...

I am going to test a few more and will report back in a few days.

Ignore my last post, .ir was Expert...not Fill Me In which I played after midnight in the set which straddled the change of day and it is on the results list for the 11th.

So it seems any play in a TvT active game counts toward the daywhen you play it..regardless of which day the set opened or closed on.

Is there a reason why we cannot drill down for scores on GMM?

Are the Gold games set to rotate, if so, is it random or on a schedule?

The Guidelines state:

The Team Heroes and the Daily game games are guaranteed to be part of each month's lineup.

The other selected games each month are a random mix of hourly and daily games, with certain games appearing more often in some leagues than others. One Gold Member game will be chosen each month for Leagues A, B, and C.

For example, League A is more likely to see more difficult / fringe games like "Fill Me In", and "Who's the Expert?". League D is more likely to see some of the more standard hourly games like "The Easy Game" and "The Mixed Game".

You never know though... we may throw a curve-ball now and then and increase or decrease the number or types of games for a special month here and there!

So I guess by using the word "random" in your response and the fact that league A had Obscurity last month, there's no way of knowing whether "world" is next for league A. I guess "madness" could run another month or obscurity could come back.

Or it could be Pot of Gold. Four games competing for the spot, one lucky winner. Unless the random element serves up two next month.

Random means random - anything could happen including a game hogging the spotlight for multiple months in a row (although, obviously, this would be less and less likely the longer the run).

Again, on GMM, when I played today I noticed that there is no tick beside it; on checking, it confirms I have already played that set.

Also, I appear to be struggling to change screens in FT over the past couple of days; has anything changed? Being Oz, I have a very poor internet service, but my speedtest tells me that it is no worse than usual.

I just checked on the Everything challenge, and there is no score registered for GMM, though I cannot replay it because my name is on the score sheet. This will possibly affect my T v T scores.

Wonder if it's a browser/resolution issue? With the extra icon for the monthly game my checkmark is there, but part of it goes past the box that appears when I hover the mouse over the Games tab.

That wouldn't explain the fact that it wasn't registered on the Everything page. I didn't think to check yesterday evening after that game rolled over. I played then (early today FT time) and that score has been ticked.

I've just checked 'yesterday' (thanks, Postcards!) and it was recorded there.

As far as repeating requests "for the umpteenth time", I am however sure that will not alter priorities. We are aware that not everything is finished around the leagues and we will prioritize fixes and additions to the system as well as to the site in general by how we believe they will benefit the membership as a whole.

I've noticed now that Who Am I? has come up as one of the team games for the third month in a row for League A? Is this a permanent game or is it just a random coincidence that it has appeared so often?
