Jellee,
There are a lot of variables involved in getting a quiz on line quickly.
Firstly, the subject. A quiz on, say, The Simpsons will probably wait in line for longer than, for example, a quiz on Origami. This is because of the sheer weight of numbers in these categories. Movies, TV, Movies are very high-traffic areas and obviously will have a longer editing queue.
Second is the quality of the quiz. A well-written, original quiz that requires minimal, or no editing will get through the editing process faster. A good start is to read the 'Quiz Creation Guidelines' (QCG's)- these 'rules' will help you write a good quiz. Check your spelling, make sure your facts are correct, beware of date-dependent questions, add some Interesting Info to your questions, etc, etc. Also, play some quizzes in your chosen field, so that you get a 'feel' for what makes a good quiz.
Thirdly, do NOT take an editor's rejection personally- they are trying to maintain the extremely high reputation that our site enjoys. If you work 'with' your editor, and co-operate with his/her instructions, your quiz will get online faster. If you do not understand an editor's notes, please just ask them to elaborate.
Finally, there are a selection of quizzes on writing quizzes in the General category; try them out and you will become aware of the faults that an editor will be looking for.
Cheers, ozzz2002 (Editor)
