  • We had a full house this week.
  • No game recap as I finish catching up.
  • We end the season with another below par round as we went 18/50 for a strike rate of 36.00%. There were no perfect games with the closest being Melbpurne City's win over Western United which saw 7 correct tips. Another round with a game which no one tipped correctly and this week it was the Western United win away at Sydney. An honourable mention goes to ozzz2002 who earns a bonus point for being the only one to tip Western United to beat Perth.
  • We finish up with 3 weekly winners as wwe84, ozzz2002 and gtho4 all went 3/5. LeoDaVinci made it back-to-back rounds of 0/5 to take home the last wooden spoon of the season. Add these to his deafult score of 0 in Round 27 at it gives LeoDaVinci 0 points in the final 3 rounds, not a good finish after being tied for the lead with 4 rounds left.
  • The weekly win column is complete after 11 rounds. The Wall of Shame column is also complete after 11 rounds. The first 0/5 went to Sypher in round 18 and he now has two of them thanks to the postponed game in round 21, George95 joins him with 0/4 in round 25. Round 27 sees wwe84, paper_aero and Howie72 join the zero club. In Round 28 George95 makes it a second 0 round and is joined by LeoDaVinci and N-Bomb. LeoDaVinci scores another 0/5 in Round 29.
  • Ozzz2002 finishes the season in style with a weekly win plus a bonus point to win by 3 points over N-Bomb. In the battle for 3rd place, gtho4 draws level with srini701 with a weekly win but srini701 takes the bronze medal courtesy of a +3 weekly win/wooden spoon differential compared to gtho4's +2 differential. Wwe84's weekly win sees him draw level on points with paper_aero at the bottom but still takes home the competition wooden spoon.

  • After getting a decent taste of the lead in mid-season, ozzz2002 pounced with 2 rounds to go to earn his second A-League competition victory while N-Bomb makes the podium for the 5th year in a row with second place. Rounding out the podium is srini701 after a 3 year absence. Last year's champion, LeoDaVinci, faded badly to finish 5th. Who knows what next season will look like, when it will start, whether teams will have to base themselves away from their homes again or how many fans will be allowed. Thus we reach the end of a weird season. Thank you to all that tipped and congratulations to the three on the podium. Can any one take the title away from ozzz2002? We shall find out next season when the next edition of the A-League tipping competition kicks-off.
