The season has entered a hiatus. The remaining games have been suspended/postponed. This decision will be re-examined in 30 days. Having discussed at length with NBA owners whether to take a hiatus due to safety concerns because of the coronavirus, commissioner Adam Silver said Thursday he opted to suspend the season shortly after canceling the Utah Jazz-Oklahoma City Thunder game Wednesday night following Rudy Gobert's positive test for COVID-19. NBA owners have been encouraging Silver to reevaluate the league's suspension of play in 30 days, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Silver, in an interview on TNT, confirmed that the NBA will take that 30-day hiatus and use the time to further discuss whether the league can resume play and how it can do so. espn.com.au/nba/13_mar_20

As of now, the NBA season is on hiatus...not cancelled at this time. The rest of the season may get played out after the NBA's 30 day suspension, but as of now, the season isn't over. Our comp may be, but it is unknown right now. If we terminate the season after these games, srini701 will take gold, toocool4u silver, and LeoDaVinci the bronze.

It will be an 8 game "regular" season then playoffs. Only 22 teams will play. It would be in our best interests to call this season complete for our comp. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29267080/what-know-know-nba-return-play

The NBA hiatus lasted four months. The NBA season comp will be over next week as games are scheduled every day. All games are played in Orlando FL. R23 has been cancelled as there are insufficient games remaining for a complete round of 15.

For the 3rd straight week, the same three players continue to lead the way to the finish line next week. The 9 pt gap between 1st and 3rd from a fortnight ago was a mere 4 pts last week and this week it evaporated. We now have a dead-heat out front, with just one round left.
LeoDaVinci scored 12/15, plus a bonus pt for a near-miss perfect pick, and the gap back to 4th, which was 7 points last week, is now a mere 2 pts. Howie72 now has a set of pearly whites in his rear vision mirror.
All three medals will be decided in the last round.

All three medals were decided in the final round of the comp.
The two leaders finished the season with their first and only wooden spoon .. and thus no-one went through the season with a spoon-less record.
However, we did have a player who finished win-less. This honour goes to ozzz2002, who also won two more Oscars: most wooden spoons and most bonus points.
For the 4th straight week, the same three players occupied the first three spots. The dead-heat from last week remained .. srini701 and toocool4u went all out with a final lunge at the finish post but ended up with a wooden spoon each .. six of their 15 picks were different and the law of averages saw them split it 3/3 (and for the remaining games they each scored a mere 3/9).

srini701 won gold on a countback 8-1 vs. 6-1 and Howie72 retained third spot for bronze; LeoDaVinci failed to reduce the 2 point deficit. The rest of us were miles behind.
srini701 was leader, solo or jointly, for 13 weeks and toocool4u was leader for 12 weeks (10 were consective). Howie72 was leader for one week and gtho4 for two.
That ends a covid-reduced season .. dg_dave will be back later this year when the NBA 20-21 season starts and we resume normal transmission.
