I have so many favourite songs from musicals, but a few of my favourites are "Lachaim" from Fiddler on the Roof, "As Long as He Needs Me" from Oliver!, the song about moonlight and memories from Cats ( I don't know if that's the title) and "Some Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific. There are many, many more!

Without any doubt - 'The Phantom of the Opera' (the song from the musical of the same name).

Blue - the song from Cats you meant is called 'Memories'.

I'll agree with blue's selections, BUT I have to add the "Shall We Dance" song and scene from the King and I, with Yul Brenner! Any time I catch it on TV I just MUST watch til that scene's performed!

I went to see Miss Saigon last week and I enjoyed it, but there were no stand-out songs. For a comic song "Master of the House from Les Mis is brilliant. And the Phantom of the Opera song from the musical of the same name. Also, By My Side, from Godspell.

I agree, I was blown away when I saw it...mostly for the way people reacted to it, it was like an interactive screening. Blue my innocent, just out of secondary school mind away.

Loads and loads, I could go on forever
One that springs to mind is Getshemane (sp) from Jesus Christ Superstar.

I also love Poor Little Pierette from The Boyfriend because I played Mme. Dubonnet in it and if I do say so myself it was a showstopper!!!!

The theme song from "Cabaret." Is it called "Cabaret" or "Stepping Out?" I've seen it listed as both.

"Time Warp" from RHPS.
"Luck be a Lady Tonight" from Guys and Dolls
