Hope this can get on the "To Do" list:
The upgradeable daily Pot of Gold minis (e.g. Pot of Gold: Thursday) do not show how many wins you have, so you don't know how many more you need to reach the next tier. Just about all other upgradeable badges show this useful information.

Previous messages regarding spelling error on the Hall of Fame page, and the placement of Historical stats in the Authoring section has been lost due to the opening of the new thread. No record exists of those messages?

Kind of strange that 2 of my posts in the TvT thread have disappeared, and the whole thread has been closed. All the other posts but mine are still there. Very odd indeed.

Terry, on the team ranking page, the link for yesterday's scores for Word Wizard goes to the scores for the Easy game. Can you change that please?

Many thanks!

There seems to be a problem with the personal Mailbox today.

When trying to click on the profile of a sender, or respond to same, the page stops working. Nothing happens. I have to keep logging back in.

It'll probably sort itself out eventually. Just letting you know.

My medium Daily Challenge today is:
Play 13 quizzes in sub-category Mixed 10 Q. Very Difficult [D] and score at least 8 correct in each.
Doesn't sound like "medium" difficulty to me !

I'm sure you're aware that what is difficult for one person might be easier for somebody else. How would the FunTrivia system know which challenges are at a certain difficulty level for every player here? The only thing it has to go on is past performance for some, levels for others and some randomness thrown in there just to keep us on our toes.

4 player(s) have played so far this hour in Division 6.
95 players have played over all divisions. You are in Division 6.

This Hour: Animals

Player ssabreman had the highest score. Total Players: 93

Were there 2 missing the previous hour when it said: Total Players: 78 ?
I could have used that for the required 80 in Religion.

This is not my subjective opinion, it is FT's own assessment that the quizzes are "very difficult" i.e not medium, not difficult, even harder. No big deal as far as I am concerned but I thought it was appropriate to raise it in a "Minor issues" thread.

samak, you should play the lottery. Drawing this challenge is pretty great luck. Out of all the thousands of subcategories (the challenge is coded as "Play X quizzes from [random subcat] and get Y correct" (with X and Y somewhat depending on your recent play history), you manage to draw the jackpot smile

Re: Fantasy Knockout Scoreboard and Sandpiper18

On Friday, teammate Sandpiper18 was showing on the scoreboard in 3rd place and with four players remaining. (Also was showing on Thursday at the halfway point as four players and in a tie for 5th.)

Today, she is listed on our team scoreboard (Knockout Fantasy : Team Scores) as having two players and with 66 points which should place her at 29th or 30th for the week site wide. Cannot find her listed anywhere on the Fantasy Knockout Scoreboard, so it appears to be a glitch somewhere. Hopefully her weekly totals are still being accumulated.

Sorry, I missed the (Very Diff. and 8 correct) part. Skimmed too fast. I can see why you brought it up now.

I usually just skip the ones that I don't feel like doing. The world won't end if I miss out on some Challenge credits.

I'm playing the 24 hour level update for Humanities and got a message stating I was a bot or spammer; I'm not, of course. I'm almost (sort of 179/600) to the next level, could that be lifted so I can continue? I'm not really good in Humanities (and other categories) which is why I typically stay away from them but this is for an upgrade badgey thingy and people like me are typically going to be guessing most of the time in subjects we're not as good in as others--or are these levels just for the smart people on the website?

[EDIT]

To add: I'm on a phone only. No PC. I have to go faster. 200 questions, maybe a couple of hours on a phone. 400 questions (+/-) three hours on a phone. 600 on a subject I know 5-6 hours on a phone. 800 on a subject I know 6-7 hours. 1000 up to 10 hours on a phone. 1250 and 1500 10+ hours on a phone. And that's on subjects I know. Longer on subjects don't know. I'm never going to get Crowns on speed games. Not going to happen but I could get them on these types. And I had no problem with General or Movies and I didn't read most of those questions, either.

We cannot manually lift any such blocks. These badges are also not meant to be played by pure guessing - that's why there's a minimum score per quiz to qualify. We explicitly want to encourage playing subjects you are at least passingly familiar with. In the case of Humanities, you might for example want to look at Spelling Bee, which you should be able to regularly score better than 4 or 5 on with ease.

Then it's going to happen every time someone goes for higher levels who are not as smart in certain areas as they are in others and they'll never progress further than one or two levels. So, these upgrades are just for smart people and average to below are on the sidelines again.

So, no point in playing when it's lifted tomorrow.

The requirement for a quiz to count is that you score slightly better than you'd get from blind guessing (the minimum on a 10 question quiz is 3 where the average for blind guesses on multiple choice quizzes is 2.5). We believe this is very much aimed at average people.

Since you can freely pick within the category, you can play easy quizzes (where the *average* score is usually 7 or 8) or those in a subcategory you know something about. That will also reduce the time you need to play, since you'll need fewer quizzes if you score more answers per quiz.

As I said, for Humanities, I would recommend that you play the Spelling Bee quizzes, they're usually easy and have little text, so you can play quickly. Note that you can play quizzes you played in the past - as long as it's long enough since you last played them (30 days).

Nammage, if you are good in the Music category, you might try Theater in Humanities. There are a lot of quizzes about musicals.

Slight problem, I played the "General" Duel topic and scored a 987. But my name and score don't show up on the list.

Nevermind.

Turns out that I'm just stupid. I had already played my five topics before I played "General". No wonder my score didn't show up.

Duh! shocked

Although on a semi-related note I have noticed the counter is off for Regular members. On the post duel summary screen in the fine print it gives an update something to the effect of "you have played 3 out of 5 duels available today".

The count reads 1 low all throughout, including saying I have played 0 of 5 after the first one.

Not a huge deal, just a little strange.

A new member on my team has played several games since joining today but shows no Team Points earned. What is the delay? I get those Team Points immediately when I play.
