A while back I asked Kyle a question about crossword creation, specifically about the "Create a Crossword" page -- www.funtrivia.com/crossword/crossnew.cfm . Part of the text says, "Because crossword creation is trickier than quiz creation, only prior quiz authors who have consistently submitted quality quizzes in the past may create crossword puzzles at this time."Kyle replied that this was no longer the case, and recommended I make a note in this thread that the page should be updated: "CW reqs. were opened up last year. The text is probably a forgotten hold-over. Terry or Wes would likely need to clean it up. Anyone should feel free to try their hand if they're interested."

The text is probably a forgotten hold-over. Terry or Wes would likely need to clean it up. Anyone should feel free to try their hand if they're interested." Just want to add on this here-- there is a lot of holdover text still hiding on the site in various locations and that's the nature of things with the way the site has grown over twenty years. If there is anything out of date in this regard, then the removal of that text isn't the hardest thing to do, and Terry usually makes a bunch of those minor changes in swaths (because the text shouldn't harm too much). Another notable case of this is the long-long-long-out-of-date Anatomy of a Quiz page, which should be getting overhauled down the line. Feel free to keep noting those holdovers here though. They will get fixed.

Or are you not answering my ? I thought I made it clear that I wasn't interested in or obligated to give assistance to anyone who felt it was reasonable to treat me with disrespect. I believe that link is here. My response above was not in regards to your comment; I don't plan to answer that one. Someone else can, but it's probably going to take longer.

In the Global Challenge game First set my Impossiple game shows I didn't play but I did play and it showed earlier that I did but now shows no. Is it possible your score for the game was 0? (i.e. 0 correct or 1 correct in more than 100 seconds, etc.) I know in the duel if you score a 0, it doesn't show as being played but it also won't let you play that duel again. It's possible that it is similar in the Global Challenge when the score is registered as 0.

That's why I made it clear it I was asking Terry. Not when you responded to me with: And how does that answer my concern? I have to assume this is either impatience or intentional baiting. I shouldn't be criticized for following up on someone else's concern and it shouldn't be a surprise that your own concern is taking longer to answer in light of that.

This would seem to be a sure way of establishing whether or not you had already played, irrespective of what you're looking at. Looking back at your results for that set should also show whether or not a score was recorded for you.

What does your results page show? The results for 4 July (and the two previous days, for now) are showing right now. That should identify whether or not a score was recorded for Impossible in the relevant set.
You could copy and paste that set's results in here, before they disappear, which might help someone better qualified than I to work out what has happened.
Is it possible that Impossible did record and it was a different game that you missed which is causing the discrepancy?

If you have a zero showing in the result, that's why the game is not in your count. Any game that does not result in advancement (from having fewer than 50 points in normal mode or missing either of the hardcore criteria) is not added to your total number played. That's why Hardcore players always show far fewer games than they actually played. If your game shows as 0/0/0, it was likely not submitted correctly. This was likely an internet connection issue or a browser problem. Since we cannot reconstruct a score for such a game, it's impossible for us to adjust. Please also note that our terms and conditions say You understand that FunTrivia player scores and awards will not be "reimbursed" or "undone" due to system bugs, network errors, personal computer issues, or any other reasons. It is simply not practical. We do occasionally make exceptions from this in very important cases such as when an error in one single score out of hundreds (or thousands) means the difference for Immortal or a Monthly. For a merely cosmetic statistic such as the number of games played, this won't happen.

Is there something up with Pot of Gold? Looks like it hasn't reset properly.
It shows no tick on the front screen, which is correct, since I haven't played today. When I go to the game, it shows yesterday's completed game scores.
A couple of people on the chatboards have said they are experiencing this too

A question given today on the Daily Game:
"If you multiply all the numbers from 1 to 10 together and take that result in seconds, exactly how many days will this be?"
Whilst this would be reasonably simple to calculate given time, surely not an acceptable question on a timed set?
