Sorry I meant to reply here. I made a new topic instead! lol Woops! lol

Here's my minor issue. A friend of mine on here can't send an email. He can write one but he can't email someone. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks!

I'm wondering if an edit is needed in the following script:
"Awarded to a player who scores 5000 points in the Word Wizard mini-game.
Reward is automatically given out immediately upon completion."

The IMMEDIATELY concept is being misconstrued by me. I'm sorry for that, but, if the badge is awarded every 12 hrs or daily, that's hardly immediately.

Just noticed this in the Buzz feed...

Yesterday's Team vs Team game is over and has been scored. 0 players played yesterday. Today's game has started!

That appears as a banner on the main page too.

I've just played a Smartest game, clicked on all of the answers but my score came up as only getting one right. When I went back to the previous page, the first nine answers were blank. I can see missing one or two but definitely not the first 9. Anyone else ever experience this?

Just wondering if I'm the only one that still have problems posting new messages to existing threads on the chat-boards from time to time?

Do you mean the chat boards on the main quiz site, Bohr, or here on the forums? Can you give more details of what happens?

Are you possibly referring to your message seeming to go through but not appearing? If that happens, you may have to leave the thread and go back: If you are reply #21, 41, 61, etc. you start a new page of replies but when you are sent back to the thread, it does show the old page (and doesn't give you a new page number to click on either).

If that's what you are seeing, just leave the thread entirely and reopen it from the board, you should now see your post.

These days posting a new message #21 is likely to throw you back to the first page in the thread so you need to click the link to the last page to see your message. But if there's no new link, do what Wesley suggests, go back to the menu and open the thread again.

@flopsymopsy It's on the chat boards on the main site. The problem is like Wesley described. I have tried to leave and then come back. It didn't work. Since it is only sometimes I have problems I guess it is indeed when the reply-number is either 21, 41 or 61.

This thread is currently on #5260 - if you're quick, try adding #5261 and see what happens, and if Wes's solution works.

@flopsymopsy Just tried it. My reply was #5261 and there was no problem. The message was posted just fine.

Well, if the problem occurs again, please send me a note, provide details of what happened, and I'll take a look at it. And if necessary, I'll ask Wesley. smile

It's so impressive I had to check the original quiz, it's not correct here.

Team Game Link

Mabel 466 who has recently joined the Scrambled Eggheads has posted the following note on our team board:

"I have tried to play the team game, but get the message 'invalid log in' although I am using the correct user name/password?"

I would be grateful if somebody could assist with guidance to overcome the problem, as I know that others have also raised the issue in the past.

Is your team game one of the private tournaments? I think you have to register separately for those, if so, although it's a long time since I played in one.

Yes, you do need to register separately for the Private Tournaments. It can, however, be the same ID and password as the main site. (Plus it's possible that Mabel 466 hasn't actually signed up for the Team Game. I don't know, but even using the main FT ID and password might trigger 'invalid' if she hadn't ever registered for it.)

Mabel466 has not registered to play in your private tournament.
She needs to use this link on the tournament page, to register and play:

Unfortunately gtho4 I'm not able to locate that link, guess I'm looking in the wrong place. Can you let me know precisely where to find it? Apologies for my ineptitude!

If you go to the home page of your private tournament and are not logged in to that or any other tournament, you will see the two Login boxes for User ID and Password. Immediately above those boxes there's a link to "Create a Free Trivia Account". Mabel466 needs to click on that and fill in the necessary fields. She can use the same details as in her main FT account if she wishes. The only non-compulsory box is the one about the email quiz, otherwise everything else is required.

Many thanks, it explains why I am not able to see the link in question, as I am already logged in to the tournament!

Thanks again.

I received a message about an issue from the 20 Questions thread in the Author's Lounge here:

https://www.funtrivia.com/bb.cfm?action=details&qnid=30729&boardid=2222222&start=4500

The member said that they cannot post on that thread. Here is the issue they are having:

Quote:
I am still unable to post anything on the thread. When I click enter after my post, I am taken to the first page of the thread and my post does not show.
