Why is no one answering MY problems? Were you a no-show for last week's KO game? If you were, the system automatically bumps you out of the subscription to the game and you have to re-register.

As did I.
I'm not a fan of the colors, but if only one change was made I'd like it to be making the questions & answers take up less space. I prefer to have more appear on the screen at once. Please no to this! I’m stuck playing on my phone for an unknown amount of time. The playing space is so small I often tap the wrong answer. I’ve given up trying to read anything more than three lines long due to the tiny font size.

I have a problem, i registered to be in every week's fun trivia knockout automatically but it said i have to wait til NEXT monday to register, why is that, can someone help me with this? It looks like you wrote this on Tuesday. It probably thinks you were trying to register for this week's knockout but it won't let you because the brackets have already been set. I believe there are two options. One is to wait until next Monday and register for just next week's knockout. You can repeat that every Monday when you are planning to play that week. Alternatively you can subscribe (it's a link on the knockout page) which will register you for every week. If you do that, make sure you unsubscribe by Monday of any week you are not planning to play. Otherwise, as Barbarini commented above, you'll be marked as a no-show and be required to re-enter or re-subscribe no earlier than the following Monday in order to play.

In my post #1297047 dated Oct 06, I queried why I'd not received new recipes in the Author's Kitchen for two new crosswords.
Trident kindly replied, and I accepted his explanation as the possible reason for the lack of recipes.
However, two more of my crosswords have been published this week, and yet again no sign of additional recipes.
Whilst it's of no real importance, I believe there may be a fault somewhere?

Whilst it's of no real importance, I believe there may be a fault somewhere? Yeah, sounds like something in the system is definitely not working the way it should be. Terry has been particularly active lately, so I'll see if he checks in on this thread and is able to comment. Otherwise, I'll send him a private message about this issue.

Hmm I will investigate tomorrow. Perhaps you have reached some limit of too many recipes or ingredients or something...? Many thanks, it's much appreciated. I am still a long way off having gained too many recipes.

Am I the only one in this situation, as nobody else seems to be raising the problem?

I didn't think I'd got a recipe from a crossword but found that I had - just not quite where I remembered them appearing in the past. Maybe that's because it's been a while since I earned one, though.

Keep in mind as well that you can not get all of your recipes from hand-outs; there are a number of them that can only be worked out through experimentation, so even if there are 400 recipes in the game, you might only get 300-some-odd before they cut off. At the amount you have completed, I imagine that's the case.

The last few days I have noticed a change in playing quizzes. About half of the quizzes I click on automatically has me playing in the HTML format although it does give me the option to switch to the other versions. The only problem I have with that is when I get the Daily Challenge that has me find some quizzes with less than 100 ratings. If the quiz automatically has me playing, I don’t get to see how many ratings there are.
Is this just a glitch with cell phone users? In order to make the site more friendly to search engines, Terry has been experimenting with removing unnecessary pages when playing quizzes. Not all quizzes are set up this way at the moment, but I think all will eventually be converted to where the intermediary page is eliminated. Some of the kinks are being worked out, and it looks like the issue you just raised might be something that needs to be looked at.

I noticed the change to put time in brackets next to the questions correct on the hourlies a couple days ago. Have to say I definitely prefer the old way with the two columns because my eyes keep scanning to where they used to be instead of where they are now. Thought it was more readable too personally. I agree with runaway_drive's comment about the new columns headings in the hourlies. I definitely prefer the old way too. Having 'Correct' as one column and another next to it for 'Time (secs)' would be much more readable. It looks rather cluttered now and is particularly noticeable in Piece of Cake where the time is shown to two decimal places.

Thanks for your reply Kyle, that's probably the reason.

I consider it was significantly clearer.

At the top it tells how many times it has been played, when it was put online, and what rank it is. Maybe how many times it has been rated could be added?

The new format shows the last modification date of the quiz but not the original publication date. If I play a quiz that I know is an old one I'm willing to give it some leeway if it's a little sparse.
