How so? If that's true, you can replay a quiz the moment it falls off the list. Actually, this would kind of confirm my theory of it being 60 days - the challenge can only track back 60 days, so once it falls off, you can replay.

If you are referring to replays for low scores, it looks like the "Biggest Fan" challenge is missing the needed link. You need a special link to erase a low-scoring play so you can retry it, but the challenge does not have it.

Guess that needs to be fixed if it's what you're referring to. (I could think of a workaround, but that would be convoluted, require help from a second player and not work for quizzes you scored exactly 5 on. (Also, it would kind of abuse a site feature. However if you absolutely need it to finish a set, PM me and I'll tell you how. Not your fault the challenge is missing the replay links.)

It's been a long time since I did any of these, but I think Wes is correct in that it is a 60 day window. I don't recall that it ever had the replay feature (the special one to click like Quiz Lists). I always just continued and played a different quiz.

Edited to add:
Mistigris, if the author made a lot of Quiz Lists, you can work from those and that way you'll get the "replay" in 24 Hours function. Or if the particular quiz was on anyone's List, you can go there.

Yes, the low score replay link is missing for the completed quiz list on that challenge. No problem - I can wait :-)

Thanks for that information, Dagny - I'll bear it in mind for the future.

Does the Daily Challenges still need updated for the Obscurity game’s change to the new 2 hour format (instead of hourly)? My Difficult to get an X amount of accumulated Obscurity points for the day seems highly unreasonable for the average player… especially those that work.

I looked at last month’s results on the leader board. The top 10 players averaged 1064.88 per game for the month. To complete my challenge, the top players would have to play 7 games with their average score. Factoring in my job and sleep, I am only realistically able to play 4-5 games per day.

I could see if my X amount was if the Obscurity game was still hourly. That’s why I wondered if it hasn’t been adjusted yet for the 2 hour format.

There are some difficult challenges (and badges) that those of us who work, sleep and do not have super-high speed internet simply cannot achieve. there's so much else to keep me busy that I just ignore those.

Yeah, I get that. I just thought if the top players would unlikely do it in 4 or 5 games, that something just seemed off.

I get what you’re saying, looney_tunes. I totally ignore having to get an easy game in 30 seconds, lol.

Most of the daily challenges are also self-adjusting within certain ranges to represent an equal effort for a stronger and a less experienced player. Thus (as just one possible explanation) if you haven't played much since you got the Monthly, you may still be judged against a very strong performance - especially if you played the game with research in that time which tends to produce quite a bunch of 1100+ scores (13 in 200 or 14 in 300 sec) - simply because those still dominate your average. Thus, depending on your prior play, the challenge could rank you higher than you normally play because it still sees averages from a time you played differently and thus scored higher.

The opposite of course also works - if you were to play Piece of Cake for a while using your mobile (which is not likely to give great times), you would have a low recent average and see some really easy challenges for a bit when returning to the PC until it adjusts back up.

(You don't want to see what it asks me to do on the GC - I have not played that seriously for a while, so my average for that is composed of (a) the tail end of a HC Immortal winning run and (b) a bunch of low division games. Both subgroups tend to have very decent averages...)

The + has disappeared from the Pinned Items tab on the home page. Could we have it back please? Thanks!

Is it me, or are there a whole bunch of new pix to go with the various subcategories and games? Not an "issue", but a happy observation!

The pinned items are showing but the list won't collapse.

Funny, but I prefer it without the + because when it is there it defaults to collapsed, which I dislike - but can live with smile

Yeah, now it's always on again. While I strongly prefer pins to show expanded (and popular topics collapsed instead) so they can remind me of things I want to do - and a forced collapsed can't do that - it should be up to player preference which of the two they want to see by default. Both expanded gives a rather messy layout with too many lines on the left.

Homepage is a work in progress. Slowly but surely updating elements.

One thing you'll probably notice is the category images are being replaced with better, higher resolution photos. Check them out on a retina display like on an iPad... their resolution looks really nice.

Agreed, Wes. It would be ideal if we could set our own preferences on that.

Another here in favor of allowing players to set individual default preference for +/- on pinned items.
