In the New Question Game, players are invited to submit questions for future games, earn points for so doing, and enhance everyone's experience on Fun Trivia by providing the questions from which numerous other quizzes are the built.

There are several "stops" built into the question submission process. One of these prevents the submission of any question the correct answer to which begins with "all." This stop precludes the submission of any question to which the correct answer is "all of the above" or "all of these." When such a question is submitted as part of a multiple-question quiz, the programme responds with a reminder that such questions are disfavoured. When it detects this in a single-question submission, it slams the door closed firmly.

Suppose, hypothetically, that you wish to submit a single question, not part of a multiple-question quiz, the correct answer to which is one of the following:

All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth
All Quiet on the Western Front
All Black New Zealand national rugby union team
All The President's Men
All About Eve (1950)
All of Me by John Legend
All in a day's work
All-American Awards

You get my drift. A really clever question crafter may be able to twist the question and answer around in such a way that "all" does not need to appear in the answer. But if the question is "What is the day in the Church Year which occurs next after Hallowe'en?" then the only acceptable answer is "All Saints' Day" and no amount of twisting is going to change that.

I suspect that this is an unintended consequence, the product of a good motivation to block "all of the above" questions and answers from the Single Question Game. It MUST be unintended! One wonders (1) does it bother anybody but me that all answers beginning with "all" are effectively banned from the Single Question Game and (2) how big a deal would it be to fix?

It's something that is probably somewhere on the "to do" list, as it is a known problem.

Meanwhile, I'd turn that question around to ask when All Saints' Day is, so that the offending "all" is in the question instead of the answer. Something similar can be done for everything you list.
