.

  • No one got all four games, and two of us start with goose eggs, as some teams surprised and others went on as per the usual. Lots of teams dropped like flies on advance picks, as six picked New Orleans to win the NFC, and a couple picked New England to win the AFC. Mustang lost all his advance picks.

  • The postseason started us off with the Buffalo Bills traveling to Houston to take on the Texans. Buffalo looked to move on, taking a 7-0 lead after one, and extending it to 13-0 at the break. The Bills moved up by 16 in the third before Houston started a comeback. Deshaun Watson got a touchdown and 2pt to cut the lead to 16-8 after three. Houston then scored a field goal and another touchdown with 2pt to take a 19-16 lead. Stephen Hauschka said that the Bills weren't going down without a fight, and hit a clutch field goal with :05 left, sending the game to overtime. In overtime, it went back and forth for a bit, but Ka'imi Fairbairn sent Houston packing to Kansas City with a field goal, defeating the Bills, 22-19.

  • The nightcap in Foxborough was a bit more of a surprise, as only one of our 16 got it correct. Things started off even, as the teams traded scores, and the Titans only held a 14-13 lead at the break. It wasn't until the fourth quarter that things got interesting. With the Patriots driving, Tom Brady threw a pass, but Logan Ryan read the play like a book, and took it back to the New England end zone for a touchdown. The Patriots will not be in the Super Bowl this season, to the chagrin of Dizart, losing to the Titans...20-13.

  • In New Orleans, this one was back and forth all the way. The teams traded field goals in the first, before New Orleans took their first lead in the second with a touchdown. The Vikings came back and got a field goal and a touchdown to hold a 13-10 lead at the break. In the third, it looked like Minnesota was going to pull off the upset, as they moved ahead by 10 after three, but New Orleans stormed back with a touchdown and a field goal with :02 left to force overtime. In overtime, the Vikings won the coin toss, then Kirk Cousins was clutch the rest of the way, hitting Kyle Rudolph for a game winning touchdown, and the Vikings move on to the divisional round, knocking off the Saints in the Superdome, 26-20.

  • The final game at Lincoln Financial Field went as the majority of us expected. The Seahawks drew first blood with a Jason Myers field goal. In the second, Jake Elliott countered with one, but Beast Mode rumbled in for a touchdown to give the Seahawks a 10-3 lead at the break. In the third, the Seahawks got a touchdown sandwiched between two more Elliott field goals, but with the score at 17-9 after three, and no one else could score in the fourth, the Seahawks are moving on to the divisional round, knocking out the NFC Least champions, 17-9.

    .

  • Several more advance picks fall by the wayside, as we had an upset that only Llynfi picked.

  • The weekend's games saw us start out in Santa Clara, where the 49ers were looking to defend their home turf. Scoring was somewhat quiet, but there were scores in all four quarters. The teams traded touchdowns in the first, then in the second, Tevin Coleman gave the 49ers back the lead. Dan Bailey cut the lead to four with a field goal about a half minute before the break, with Minnesota trailing, 14-10. In the third, Gould answered Bailey's field goal with one to move the lead back to seven, then later in the quarter, Tevin Coleman rumbled in again to give the 49ers a 24-10 lead after three. In the fourth, Gould hit a second field goal, and the 49ers move on to the championship game, winning their first postseason game in six years to the delight of our own LDV, 27-10. Minnesota was held to a total of 147 yards by the smothering Niner defense.

  • The nightcap in Baltimore was more of a surprise, as only one of our 16 got it correct. If you look solely at the numbers, Baltimore should have won this easily, as they outgained Tennessee, 530-300. Tennessee, though, raced out to a 14-0 lead early in the second. While Lamar Jackson could get the Ravens down the field, he couldn't get the team to punch in scores, but Justin Tucker hit a pair of field goals, the second as time expired in the half, and the Titans were ahead 14-6 at the break. In the third, it was a trick play, as Derrick Henry, who torched the Ravens for 195 yards on the ground, threw a touchdown strike to Corey Davis, and the Titans were cruising, 21-6. A couple of minutes later, Tannehll pulled off his inner Derrick Henry, taking one in for a 28-6 lead after three. In the fourth, Jackson was able to get a touchdown pass off, but the 2pt to cut the lead to 14 was stopped short, and the Ravens are looking around in disbelief, especially after winning 13 in a row, losing to the Titans, 28-12.

  • In Kansas City, this one started off one way, but the momentum swung like a pendulum, and never looked back. In a slight foreshadowing, I put next week's championship game as the game here. From a numbers standpoint, it was an even match, as Houston only outgained Kansas City by eight yards, 442-434. Houston got on the board first with a touchdown pass, taking a 7-0 lead. After the Chiefs couldn't get anything going, Houston blocked the punt and ran it in for a score. Later on, Deshaun Watson threw another touchdown pass, giving the Texans a 21-0 lead after one, and the rout looked on...or did it? In the second, Ka'imi Fairbairn hit a field goal to extend the lead to 24-0. Something lit a fire under Patrick Mahomes, and he started going to town...throwing, not one, not two, but four touchdown passes before the break, and the Chiefs led, 28-24. In the third, the Chiefs momentum continued, as Damien Williams rumbled in for a pair of scores, but Deshaun Watson countered with one of his own, and the score was 41-31 after three. In the fourth, Mahomes threw his fifth score, then Harrison Butker got a field goal, and the Chiefs will welcome Ryan Tannehill to town next week, defeating the Texans this week, 51-31.

  • The final game at Lambeau Field went as many of us expected. The Packers struck first with a Davante Adams touchdown reception, but Jason Myers responded with a field goal, and the Packers led 7-3 after one. In the second, it was the Aaron Jones show, as he scored twice to give the Packers a 21-3 lead at the break. In the third, the Seahawks started a comeback, getting a pair of touchdowns, but Green Bay sandwiched one in between, and held a 28-17 lead after three. In the fourth, Beast Mode got the Seahawks within five, but the 2pt was held off, so Seattle held a 28-23 deficit with 9 to go. After both teams punted, Seattle had to try and stop Aaron Rodgers from running out the clock, but there was 2 left. Rodgers pulled off a couple of passes, and then just after the two minute warning, with a 3rd down and nine, hits Jimmy Graham for a nine yard strike. The chains came out, and while it was close, there was enough ball past the chains for Rodgers to run out the clock, and the Packers are packing to California with a 28-23 victory over the Seahawks.

  • The Super Bowl in Miami in two weeks is decided...LeoDaVinci's 49ers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

  • The weekend's games saw us start out in Kansas City, and while the Chiefs fell behind, they didn't stay that way as long. Tennessee raced out to a 10-0 lead on a field goal and Derrick Henry touchdown, but Henry got shut down after that. Patrick Mahomes got a touchdown pass off just before the end of the quarter, and the Chiefs trailed, 10-7. In the second, Ryan Tannehill negated that Chiefs touchdown with one of his own, but Mahomes countered with a pair of touchdowns, one on the ground, to give Kansas City a 21-17 lead at the break. It wasn't until the fourth that Kansas City piled on another pair of touchdowns, but Tennessee came back with one, and the Chiefs are going to Miami, defeating the Titans, 35-24.

  • In California, it was the Raheem Mostert show, as Green Bay had no answers to stop him. Jimmy Garoppolo threw only eight passes in the game. San Francisco took a 7-0 lead on Mostert's first touchdown. In the second, he and Robbie Gould both scored twice, and the rout was on, as San Francisco took a 27-0 lead into the break. Green Bay got the first points in the second half, but Mostert countered with his fourth touchdown run, staking the 49ers to a 34-7 advantage. In the fourth, Green Bay tried to make a game of it, getting a pair of touchdowns, but Robbie Gould hit a third field goal to give the 49ers a ticket to Miami, defeating the Packers, 37-20.
  • I've been having computer issues the last few days, with the internet going in and out, therefore making these results late.

  • The Super Bowl in Miami started out even. San Francisco struck first with a field goal, but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs came back with a touchdown to take a 7-3 lead. In the second quarter, Mahomes got the Chiefs down the field enough to give them a seven point lead on a field goal. Jimmy Garoppolo answered that field goal with a touchdown, tying the score at 10 each. After the 49ers defense held Mahomes in check, the Niners didn't get anywhere before they gave the field to Shakira and J-Lo. The game was tied at 10 at the break. In the third, it looked as if San Francisco was going to take the win, as they took back the lead with a field goal. Their defense picked off Mahomes, and Raheem Mostert took the ball in for a 20-10 lead. Mahomes got the ball back, trailing by ten, but was picked off again just before the end of the third, and San Francisco was in the driver's seat, leading 20-10 after three. In the fourth, San Francisco punted, and Mahomes got a ball to one of his favorite receivers in Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs only trailed by three. After another punt (this time on a three-and-out), Mahomes got a pass off to Damien Williams, and this one looked to be short at first, but the replay booth said he punched it through, to the dismay of our own LeoDaVinci, and the Chiefs retook the lead at 24-20. Jimmy Garoppolo started back down the field, but got sacked on fourth down, giving the Chiefs the ball back, and clearly with the momentum on their side, Mahomes handed off to Damien Williams, who rumbled it in for a 31-20 lead. With only a little over a minute left, Jimmy G was ready to give the offense some new life, but the Chiefs, who were not known for their elite defense, picked off Garoppolo, sealing the 31-20 victory in Miami and making them the Super Bowl Champions.
  • Toocool4u takes this title and held the top spot all the way through.
  • I have found a few mistakes from week 2 and they are corrected here.
  • Look forward to seeing all y'all in September for the 2020 NFL season.
