Just a heads up, and for other countries doing it this weekend.

Guess y'all in the UK, Channel Islands, and all will go back to five hours ahead of me...and mainland Europe to six.

One less hour to sit around the house doing nothing then; pity they can't move them forward 3 months or so

It's a good thing you'd created this thread to remind yourself, then!

In continental Europe also.
The European Union has reached an agreement to stop this nonsense, but never took the time to pick a date. Sigh.

My bedroom clock resets itself automatically, but it took me a couple of years to realise this. I couldn't understand why the time changed randomly, as it appeared to me. Eventually, I decided to read the instructions (yes, I know, but it's a clock so I didn't think I needed to). These told me I needed to set the date, since when it's worked perfectly. The randomness was because the default date bore no resemblance to the actual date.

Do I read instructions now? Well, sometimes.

My car does that. It didn't do it before but now it does. It's extremely awkward to change it backwards so for a few years I drove it on BST all year round and then suddenly, for no reason at all, it reset itself to tell the correct time. Now all I have to do is remember how to change the oven and the microwave.

I would wind my watch forward but the battery is a casualty of Covid - I'm staying out of tiny shops like the jeweller or the village-cobbler-who-fits-watch-batteries until my second jab. When I was a child I prided myself on being able to tell the time, now I don't care!

My last car was one to leave on the same time all year, the first time I attempted to change it I ended up; having to take it to the garage as we seemed to have leapt a number of years as well as ending up in August! The current car is a dream, press a few buttons and confirm.
